Future Warrior 2 vs Dialga

Dialga being stronger doesn't mean he can resist it and remain conscious, like Cal is saying.
That's...literally how the Candy Beam works in Dragon Ball...

Cal, I think their reasoning is that Ki in Dragon Ball has shown to be able to resist hax and that it isn't necessarily a weakness of the move itself. It's actually been shown MULTIPLE times sheer brute ki is able to power through haxes if you're powerful enough, and that it isn't a limitation of the move (I.E. Candy Beam) but more that the opponent is straight up out of the person's league to the point of it not even being funny (Which is why Vegito who roflstomps Buuhan can resist it)

Exactly. It would simply be a weakness of the beam itself, not that you can neg it with more power. At least, thats how im seeing it right now.

How do we know? That only happened once and AFAIK, there is no official statement saying it was power but it is our assumption.

Why would it be? The only one who resisted the beam is someone who stomps Buuhan in a verse where sheer brute force can power through haxes rather than the weakness of the hax itself. An example of hax being used on enemies relatively on the same tier (but still stronger) would be Guldo. He's weaker than like.... everyone but his hax still worked because his enemies weren't in the roflstomp range.

Guldo isn't the only example. Babadi's a million times weaker than Buu and he sealed him away.

The "power>hax" stuff in DB is not only rejected here IIRC, but is very inconsistent.

It's best to just drop the subject. I said it was a small nitpick. Keep it small and nitpicky.

@Akreious

I'm sorry, I meant that the temporal distortion is capable of preventing the evolution.

In PMD the temporal distortion prevented all Pokémon from evolving.

Dialga is also able to erase all the knowledge, emotions and willpower of an entire universe.

Can Future Warrior resist this?

I'd like to note that Babadi not only uses magic (Something seperate from Ki) and is a master of it, but we don't actually now HOW he sealed him away. We don't even know if it's by his own hand or by some other creation he had prior.

(Also wasn't it Bibidi who sealed Buu?)

How is it inconsistent though? It's been shown repeatedly that if you're completely out of your opponent's league and that you can roflstomp them with ease, you can plow right through lesser haxes.

Exhibit A: Goku vs Hit. Time Stop allowed Hit to get the advantage repeatedly while Goku was in base SSB, but stacking Kaiokenx10 easily allowed Goku to bypass Hit's time stop until Hit got onto SSB Kaiokenx10's level via self improvement, which allowed the time stop hax to work again.

Exhibit B: Buuhan vs Vegito. I think we all agree that Vegito allowed himself to turn into a Candy, no questions there. The only instance of a being/person resisting the Candy Beam is Vegito; why? While it could be attributed to the fact that Potara MIGHT grant some sort of magical resistance, Vegito is also noted to be hilariously above Buuhan.

Edit: Was going to write more but saw Cal's comment. We'll just agree to disagree then, we have completely different viewpoints

Edit Edit:

@NeoZex6399

Ah, aight. How does Dialga do this erasure? Is it via some sort of AoE thing or is it a more subtle "boop it happened" sort of thing?

Of the "boop it happened" variety. Even used it after Arceus beat the crap out of him and rendered him unconscious ovo.
