A fractal is math thing that looks the same, no matter how close or far away you look at it (magnification). Imagine a pattern that repeats itself in a really detailed way. This happens in nature, art, and math. Fractals have fancy shapes that keep showing up when you zoom in or out. Math helps make these shapes using a repeating process. In nature, you can see fractals in things like tree branches, snowflakes, and coastlines.
