Formula for bending steel bars with one hand?

So I know that there's a formula for bending steel bars with both hands, but what if the bar was lodged into the ground and a character uses one hand to bend it while it's still lodged in there? Would I need to find the distance between the ground and their hand instead of finding the distance between both of their hands?
