If USA wins, chances are we play Argentina next round 😭
Yup the chances of an anglophone quarterfinals match are next to zero (at best), tho judging by the quarter finals predictions it's looking quite spicy with an Iberian battle between Spain Vs Portugal and blood rivals France Vs England.

However who knows what will actually happen? I doubt anyone predicted Saudi Arabia beating Argentina or Japan beating both Germany and Spain (I'm honestly looking forward to a potential Japan Vs South Korea quarterfinals).

I updated the OP right now. All groups are finished and the outcome for 16th round is published.

Congrats to all countries who played, the next stage IS THE NEXT LEVEL.

Alright guys, the conclusion of the whole tournament:
  • Japan beat two Ex-World champions: Germany and Spain, also landing at the top of Group E.
  • Morocco is the first Arabic country to be in the knockout stage (Two wins, one tie)
  • No team had a perfect record (3 straight wins) in the qualifying round
  • Morocco, Netherlands, and England all tied for highest points (7)
  • Qatar has become the only host ever to lose all three games. Canada also lost all three games in their bracket.
  • Both England and Spain tied for most goals (9)
  • Costa Rica conceded the most goals (11)
  • Spain scored the most goals in one match, winning 7-0 against Costa Rica
  • Saudi Arabia has the most yellow cards at 14
  • Wales and Cameroon are tied for most red cards (1)
Added this in OP
