Father Gascoigne has no way of getting past being possessed by Petelgeuse, even if he wins the physical fight, he has no resistance to being possessed

He can't possess people who have a contract with a spirit, but otherwise he can stay alive so as long as he has a body to live in, Gascoigne doesn't seem to have anything that explicitly counters it

Well for the sake of argument let's say that the Old Blood makes Father Gascoigne incompatible since Petelguese has mentioned trouble with incompatible bodies and he can't seem to control animals

How strong are his invisible hands? Can they push away gunshots? And can he keep Father Gascoigne at bay? How strong is their usage

idk much about the strenght of the hands, but you can see clearly that Wilhem is capable of cutting the hands, so i think bullets can destroy them, but i dont think Gascoigne will be smart enough or rational enough to try to see the hands, the hands will be something harsh

Gascoigne will probably power through it maybe, especially in his beast form where he could power through the cemetery and layers of solid stone. His blunderbuss is also a force to be reckoned with so Gascoigne probably wins it more than not by maintaining aggro.

Geuse can't possess anyone he wants, he can only possess those who have an affinity to be spirit users, something like that.
Geuse is 2.8 tons, Father is 3.8, so Father has ap advantage, but it's not that big.
Geuse has the range advantage, and the hands are invisible, don't see anything on father's profile to suggest he can see them, Geuse cold attack him without him knowing and coupled with his fingers, he won't die, think there are plenty of opportunities there for surprise attacks.

Just want to note that gascoigne can fight completely blindfolded+maybe having no eyes, has nothing that can really get past the hands aside from his gun though
