From a glance this seems very inconclusive, as Esdeath can time stop King but King can life+Death+Petrify Esdeath

How do those abilities work and how in character are they?

King absolutely murders.

Given this is Full Wings, he can have multiple Spirit Spears at once, effectively making this a 1v3. He should outrange her too, given his natural flight and how he could control Chastefol against the OD despite being across the country. Fairly confident he stomps in AP, too.
