They each have the potential to kill each other without their powers, powers that counter each other, comparable skill, etc. Any advantage they do have is minimal and incapable of getting an advantage for long.

Wolnd't truly work since Linley has 4 true bodies.
Rimuru only outrage the most powerful attacks that Linley has but Linley outrages with Divine Sense and all his spatial/dimensional attacks. Coiling Dragon also can absorb from another dimension from several kilometeters away if not more.
