Dr. Slump Mini Symposium (Adding Note and Clarification)

So, the main purpose of this CRT is regarding this Blog


Now many may have forgotten this monster called a CRT was dropped in the hopes of upscaling Dragon Ball's Earth Size and character AP scaling to incredibly high levels. To absolutely no one's surprise the CRT was rejected hard and never passed. I made a post saying I'd address the matter of the Dr. Slump Earth and DB characters not scaling to it at some point and pretty much put that on hold for God knows how long now.

So, I'm addressing it now. All the points, information and conclusion are addressed in the Blog itself. After reading the blog through thoroughly please make your standing regarding the Blog and its contents clear:

While it is accepted the World of Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball characters are shared, conflicting information and narrative inconsistencies established in both series prevents the notion of the Earth Size established in Dr. Slump can be reliably applicable to Dragon Ball. As such, do not try to attempt upgrading nor upscaling Dragon Ball characters to the size of the Earth established in Dr. Slump.

Just read through the blog, the evidence inside of it looks good

Although I personally don't like the idea of directly mentioning anyone (like the blog mentions the Youtube channel) as it could lead to instigating unnecessary drama

However, I should mention that the blog may need to be adjusted since a Japanese speaker has told me about the translation being used is actually incorrect. Here's the Japanese dialogue from what I was told:
君、はっきり言ってこいつはすごいよ。なにしろ金星だからね。地球からの距離4千万キロメートル。地球を1千回回る距離じゃ。

Apparently the translation confused the last two sentences and combined "40 Million Kilometers" with "1,000x the circumference" to get "4 Billion Kilometers".
So the planet isn't actually 4 Billion kilometers. It's 40,000 km with the object being 40 million km away.

And it basically said this:

Which using basic math, multiplying 40 million with 1000, gives us 40 billion kms.
So....uhh, we should definitely get a human translation for this.

That means 40 Million = Earth Circumference x 1,000.

You'd divide 40 Million by a thousand, not multiply it. So it would be 40,000 kilometers.

That could be used to give us an at most / up to / possibly “rating” of the planet being the size of an average star, could it not?
 
Uh, you used the math wrong there.

That means 40 Million = Earth Circumference x 1,000.

You'd divide 40 Million by a thousand, not multiply it. So it would be 40,000 kilometers.
Yeah...after reviewing it for a bit.
It's basically 40 million km = earth's circumference x 1000
Instead of earth's circumference = 40 million km x 1000.
Tho I'd like a human translation just to be 100% sure.

Well the main issue is that word for star used in those is just "Hoshi" or "Reflective Celestial Body". I mean the third image literally calls it a comet. So that's not the best evidence in my view.

If you check again, you will see that the star’s name. Like as in that’s literally the stars name. The same way you can name a hurricane, building, ocean etc. If you check again you will see that it’s called a star 3 times and that “comet” is only its NAME not what it actually is.

No I mean, in Japanese the word used for the entire thing is Hoshi which is "Reflective Celestial Body". It can mean a star, planet or comet depending on the context of the sentence. When Vegeta says he'll destroy the Earth he uses "Hoshi". When Frieza says he'll destroy Namek he uses "Hoshi". "Hoshi" is just a generic catch all term. So every usage of star can be translated to comet in this circumstance and still make grammatically sense.

Well if we play by the rules of Occam’s razor it would likely be a star. As going by consistency and depictions. There is a difference between the depiction of how stars and comets are portrayed.

Also a minor point that also helps substantiate this is that average stars are supposed to be to similar to size of the Sun and in the same scans talking about the earth being the size of a star you can see the Sun there as well as a size comparable to the Earth and Star as well.

So it again leans more to Hoshi here being in reference to star than comet.
