He doesn't have enough of an AP advantage to do that though. It's less than a 7x difference.

His regen will keep him alive, he'll slowly grow to adapt against Doomguy's weapons, if even one strike hits him he can destroy him on the cellular level, can boost himself even further with combat form, skill to match him, or could simply absorb him too.

His Praetor Suit, Durability advantage plus Invulnerability Sphere says no to cellular destruction.

"It is stated that even the strongest demons in hell lack the power to even SCRATCH the Doom Slayer".

In other words, to even scratch him is going to be a trouble., and he can boost himself as well. Strenght/Durability Amplification and Rage Power with the Berserk.

Weapon Amplification with the Quad Damage Sphere (capable of increasing damage output of all weapons by a factor of 4x)

But Muzan's regen makes him quite difficult to kill, and he is not dumb to stand still in one place while the Doomguy is shooting with a weapon that can turn him into mush and ashes. He can keep distance and attack until the armor's shield gets destroyed or simply BFR the Doomguy to the Dimensional Infinity Fortress. Both of them have a lot of wincon.

Doom Slayer has the Crusible. I think it would be fair to say it could be used to kill Muzan since it can keep the Titans dead and it should be pretty interchangeable with the Red Nichirin swords (hot Sun-cooked sword VS hot-as-literal-Hell Hell-cooked energy sword) And even if that doesn't work, he can probably just drag Muzan's sorry ass into the Sun.
