in game it updates in real time and we don't have anything else for that so I assumed Clairvoyance fit the bill

It is referred to as having magic sight, the fog of war mentioned on the page is just an odd way to refer to unmapped area. So basically, it charts the area around it causing said area to be shown on all survivors' maps which is likely the reason for its description, "The cartographer's most valuable weapon."
