Rick's first reaction would probably be to just shoot Discord, which can be easily avoided before Discord just wipes Rick from existence.

To be fair, Rick does have a week of prep
I do think Dicord's ego will be a greater detriment to himself than Rick's will be, giving Rick the chance to disable Discord early. But I just dont see how Rick could or would win so fast that Discord couldn't duplicate himself across space and time a million times. Or anthropomorphize Rick's inventions to turn against him. Or anything that Rick could do, but instead without a week of prep.

It's in character to powernull and remove equipment. A dude with equipment is screwed if he doesn't have anything to stop Discord from snapping it away.
