It's more of the fact that it has a drawback than it's not useful. Ganon can come back immediately rather than after time, but he goes insane in the process. Ganon still wins without it.

This match up seems very tricky as both Ganon and Discord have somewhat similar power sets, and both have some hax that can instantly screw over the other. I'm kind of leaning towards inconclusive for now.

Ganon should just warp them to the Dark World. Not only gives him the home field advantage, but the natural nullification and transmutation effects on the area help a lot.
