Digimon Discussion Thread 02

Also, is it normal for Digimon that leveled up in farms to have lower stats than Digimon that leveled up with you? Because my Kyuubimon can't keep up with Growlmon and Gargomon.

Farm Digimon actually tend to have higher stats due to training equipment. Kyuubimon just isn't a fighter, she's a support Digimon.

I wish we got the V-Pets outside of Japan. The only ones we got were the original series, and even then the only one that isn't extremely rare is the Greymon/Tyrannomon one.

A lot of V-Pets were released in America, but they were marketed as "Digivices" over here. You can find a lot on E-Bay but I've never bought one.

I watched Episode 1. Good stuff, I should get around to watching the other...50 episodes or so.

Only the ones that were meant to be the Digivices from the anime.

The irony.

Anode/Cathode Tamer is terrible. World 4 is pretty bad too.

DS is pretty good but almost punishes you for being a Digimon fan at times with the really weird and inconsistent Digivolution trees. Dawn/Dusk is pretty good though.

But which one of the listed games should I start?

Etemon to Piedmon....When Phantomon is still clearly in the game.

Mummymon to Daemon...

Lilymon not digivolving at all after I spent the entire game with her nearly made me snap. It's almost like they made the Palmon line weaker on purpose.

@Zeed. Dawn/Dusk is the most refined of the games you listed. It's got the weakest story, though. I can't tell if everyone in the story is supposed to be 13 or 33.

Dawn/Dusk are okayish imo. Tho Lucemon FM evolving into Daemon made me question what the producers were thinking.

Yeah, Dawn and Dusk is filled with weird choices. Such as giving the player utterly no context on just about anything. The world, characters, main character, hell the main villain all just sort of exist with no description or anything to piece together other than a few lines of dialogue.

Because of that, I always assumed the games were like "Digimon mixed with KND" and you just play as a random city filled with nothing but kids, like the treehouses from KND. Frankly, it makes the most sense to me.

Also new ability found of Mic Digimon Revisions lV

LadyDevimon can burn body and soul.
Also I'm seeing a Cyber Sleuth FAQ and I see that Lilithmon has many powers that could be added as "Power Nullification", "Forcefields" and others it would be nice to take a look here.

I heard Digimon games used to have a reputation of not being the best
Depends on the game. Cyber Sleuth and Next 0rder were seen as real good games, even though I'm not too fond of Next 0rder....The issue for some is that Digimon is a little too willing to try out something new.

Digimon is finally finding a place among the games, especially after Habu went into development. His games, since Re: Digitize, are very good.

Current Generation Digimon Games have brought Digimon back into the limelight in the west. For a long while we weren't getting any outside of Japan.

Finally after so long, I created the Kamen Rider/Mega Man Digimon.
One thing, characters that manage to cut space-time are not considered as capable of ignoring conventional 3D resistance? I say this because in many cards of Cyberdramon is said that he is able to cut space-time and dimensions just like GranKuwagamon. It is already listed as capable of erasing the opponent of existence, but I think that this other power must also be mentioned.

I've always found these revisions to be fun, for me these constant revisions show that Digimon is finally getting paid attention after so many years without having good representatives by the Vs. communities.

So far I have.

- Crusadermo: BFR (BFR'd Takumi to another part of Japan with a simple thought.)

- LadyDevimo: Can burn the body and soul.

- Cyberdramo: Durability Negation (Can cut through dimensions.)

Yet ScrewAttack still acted like only the anime exists. Even in a video that came out after Hacker's Memory's announcement.

I honestly don't care for Digimon battles outside of here as other site misrepresent how strong Digimon really are nor do they research the franchise as a whole.. Hence why I don't care for either Death Battle.
