Devil May Cry Discussion Thread

Lol at this comment I'm dying of laughter 😂

Comment: "Man just give me a new dmc game atleast a remake pls capcom i need this"

Response:
"it’s DMC: Devil May Cry 2 directed by Shankar, published by Ubisoft and EA"
Don't forget the micro transactions and live service.

Ubisoft and EA by default contains that
True. If anything they'd manage to do an even worse job than the show is currently doing. All the things wrong with the show would still be there and they'd find new bad things to add.

If the show would be unrelated to original series, how would you rate it?
The problem is that it can't call itself that and use knock-offs of the characters and story and then ask to not be compared to the original. It basically necessitates the connection and comparison. The fact that it actively makes callbacks to the real series further invites that.

Like a 2 out of 10 at best, terrible pacing, especially in season 2, awful dialogue with non-existent subtext and constant narrating of everything that happens(including repeating the same shit 3 times in the row) that treats the viewer like an illiterate toddler, terrible consistency of power scaling within the story, absurdly overcomplicated, non sensical plot for no reason (specifically referring to season 2), characters are basically cardboards and are built entirely on cliches(just look at Vergil...) and many more issues with it that I'm not going to bother writing since I don't want to turn this into an essay

PoC introduces, a fictional reality with it's own space time.

Aberrant

I might've misinterpreted this, but it seems that Aberrant Vergil's Yamato was able to tear from the TV reality he came from, into PoC, distorting laws and space time itself to do so.

1-A PoC

@Huesito88
I will eventually give S2 a review on the Netflix thread.

Some old stuff I forgot to post, about Dante's sword being able to cut dimensions, I believe the mainline Dante already has statements for that with Rebellion/Sparda.

Pretty basic honestly... Would be cool if it was some plot stuff but ehh

Is this refer to DSD or Rebellion? Irrc Dante had spatial hax in novel but not as good as Yamato

I am not watching Netflix May Cry

The game itself is mid, and if you can get it at a discount, its an alright time to have. The real problem devs who were always getting caught degrading the original games as gooner bait slop for weebs.
I saw it through the white wig, "not in a million years"

I have it in my Steam library. I love all the DMC games, except for DMC 2 and DMC 4 (even though I still like them a bit). They feel too repetitive and dragged out, and the story is honestly pretty boring.

I really like how the story in DMC Devil May Cry works. If the creators of DmC: Devil May Cry hadn’t made those mistakes, I’m sure fans of the original DMC series would have loved it.

Even the shitty song is there too loud to really focus on the fight.

Truly a tiktok edit for brain dead shitflix people.

I love DMC, but I would never play the games.
I have played DMC 1 and 2
1 is pretty good.

2 is the worst of them but that's not to say its bad, just gets shit on a lot because of how powerful the guns and and so most people won't bother putting some work into it. Granted, I acknowledge that some missions really hard cap you with guns so that's a big downside but on others you can play full CQB.

Here is one of the best examples of what you can get with DMC2.
