Death doesn't use fire to attack, and Vibrations lack the range they need

Does he lead with possession tho? As far as I remember it only used that once on will, also can he even possess Death? Like the literal concept of Death? Feels like it shouldn't be able to do that

He did it to Billy too & all of the flayed. And with the Mind Flayer being bloodlusted, it'll likely lead with it's most powerful attack

Also Death doesn't seem to have a resistance to being possessed so I assume he can be possessed unless something else suggests otherwise

Well Abstract Existence says "...or even being unaffected by abilities that can't target the abstraction." and I doubt it's possession ability could target abstractions especially since a normal person could throw it off

The death we see in the movie is just his physical body. Although the Mind Flayer isn't possessing the concept of death at all, he can likely possess the physical body used in this fight. Puss in Boots can't harm or fight with the concept of death itself, but he can fight with and harm the physical embodiment of death despite not having non-physical interaction. So unless there's something saying that Deaths physical embodiment can't get possessed, then the Mind Flayer would just open with that and gg ez this right when it starts.

Also only 2 people threw off the Mind Flayers possession. One of them was Will, who they managed to cure by taking advantage of the Mind Flayers weakness to extreme heat, and the other one was Billy, who with assistance from Eleven, was able to willpower himself out of it

Death doesn't have supernatural willpower nor would he be able to generate enough heat to cure himself without outside help as he'd be to busy being possessed to start a hot enough fire to kick the Mind Flayer out

I'd reccomend just changing this to the Mind Flayers proxy. It's a bit more fair as the proxy's possession is far weaker & it has a physical body that death can harm
