DCU General Discussion Thread

The dates visible on the Daily Planet newspapers in the Superman movie (including one dated Monday, May 19) line up for a 2025 placement in the timeline. This would indicate that in the DCU, either The Suicide Squad took place no earlier than 2022, or Bloodsport never encountered Superman.

It could be retconned though I wouldn't see much point in that since kryptonite is very known weakness of Superman at this point and he fought Metallo early into his career

Darkseid has to make his DCU debut in this series.
"Today we have with the God of all Evil from the God sphere, Darkseid. Can you describe your job Mr Darkseid"

" I bring eternal torment to the multiverse as the embodiment of evil. We are currently working on brand new torture devices in Apokolips."

" Desad bring me the file.. yes that one. This is Anti life equation project we are working on to enslave the cosmos to my will by erasing all hope and justice."

" It is been a dream of mine since I was a child. I am very excited to show this to everyone once it's completed. Thank you for having me on this show, it has been an honour Mr Olsen."

Female Furies in the back - " Heyyy Jimmy, do visit Apokolips, we will show the hot, blazing pits wink wink"

I don't know about ya'll, but DCU Superman is clearly Outerversal level.

1-A: Outerverse level

Characters or objects residing in higher states of existence surpassing material composition as a whole, and who are therefore completely unreachable and inaccessible to any and all extensions of the aforementioned structures. Their superiority over such realms, as such, is purely "qualitative"; based entirely on the ontological quality and nature of their existence, rather than any quantitative or numerical principle.

That man took multiple strikes from 1-A!!!!

I never though one of Batman's B grade villains would be getting his own movie. Also isn't clayface in The Batman Two too (hehe) could cause confusion among the general audience.

Knowing Matt Reeves's Batman is like Super grounded, even more than Nolan's, his clayface will most likely be either doing makeup to change face or use those mission impossible masks. Anymore grounded Batman movies and we might as well just get non lethal Raid Redemption.

Quick question. Do you guys conisder The Penguin a comic book show or a crime drama based loosely on a comic book character ?

The latter.

That's some The Losers type business.

I guess investors don't want to risk it with Authority. It is a unknown team, not a good team either. And Thunderbolts fell nose first so overall a good decision.

Granted, Brace New World killed whatever steam people had after Deadpool and Wolverine. The Authority could be marketed like a GOTG/ The Suicide Squad thing. Those who did see Thunderbolts in theaters and resulting uptick from Disney+ views could've also boosted interest in The Authority.

He's set them up, so they'll likely appear in showing. Maybe as antagonists

Luthor created Mr. Handsome, the driver in the pocket dimension, when he was attempting to create a human, at age 12.

That's his ******* son

Already ? Damn someone give R.R Martin whatever water James Gunn drinks.

Does being able to survive in anti matter grant any amount of durability? Or is it just resistance to anti matter Manipulation?
