DCAU - Superman Revisions

I don't think anyone else is against these being applied, which characters exactly need to be updated? Outside of Superman and Doomsday, that is.

So, the following characters would scale to the meteor push.

Wonder Woman
Green Lantern
Hades
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
Etrigan
Orion
Darkseid (Pre-Brainiac)
Solomon Grundy (Base)
Draaga
Mongul (JL-JLU, Volcano feat was after the fight with Superman)
Lobo
Amazo (JL)

The characters that scale to the island-burst are as followed.
Doomsday
Darkseid (JLU)
Solomon Grundy (Chaos Magic)
Superman (Justice Lords)
Luthoriac

I do not think there have been any objections on any of the calculation additions thus far, everyone seems on board with it.

I read back through the discussion, and we discussed and agreed that Superman would have SoL Heat Vision, is that also safe to apply?

If everyone agreed on it, yes

Attack Potency: Small City Level | Continent Level (Overpowered Doomsday, who could withstand this) | Moon level+ (Overpowered Validus, who could harm him.)

Durability: Small City Level (Could take blows from Darkseid, who was stronger than him.) | Continent Level (Withstood a brutal beating from Doomsday, who scales above his durability.) | Moon level+

Speed: MFTL+
flight speed with Relativistic combat and reactions (Capable of keeping up and reacting to a holding-back Flash. Fought with Wonder Woman, who could react this fast. In Absolute Power, pushed a starship away from a black hole, and later to another star system.)

Seems a bit weird to scale Justice Lord Superman to a feat that happens far later in the story. If we are, then there's several other characters who would scale as both Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter were able to notably harm Doomsday in the Justice Lords episode, and I'm sure there's other characters who scale to them too. If we aren't, then Lords Superman wouldn't scale and Doomsday would simply be stronger in JLU due to adaptations.

That's fair then, Justice Lord's Superman can just scale to the Meteor Feat then.
Y'know, I also found something interesting,
In the S:TAS Episode 'Stolen Memories', Luthor states that he has 2.6 Megatons of firepower focused on Brainiac, he says it's 'Enough to destroy Metropolis County'
Would the Meteor scale to this, since it can too destroy the entirety of Metropolis?

tbh is it really that weird? it's not really implied anywhere that the characters get stronger or anything, it'd make sense for the JL to be on par with Superman

What are the staff conclusions here so far/Which staff members agree with what here?

ByAsura and Qawsed appeared skeptical of the Continent Upgrade, but haven't commented here since.
GyroNutz appears in favor with the recommended additions, the other moderators that have discussed on this thread said very little and haven't talked post page 1.

Okay. That is unfortunate. Thank you for responding in any case.

  • DCAU Superman still needs his 5-C AP key removed. Literally nothing implies he scales to his own durability
  • I'm still iffy on the Continent Calc being useable. Its attempting to scale the full mass KE of the lava and assumes that Doomsday tanks it all, despite multiple eruptions occurring all over the island hundreds of meters away from Doomsday. I think something that's probably better is just his Solomon Grundy slam
Besides that the P&A additions are fine besides the rejected stuff

Iif you have a link, I can take a look at the Doomsday feat. Tanking errution feats are weird but I think I have a decent way to go about them.

I have the link to Superman throwing Doomsday into a volcano, but earlier on he X-Ray'ed the entire thing and showed the magma pocket being spread throughout the entire volcano with it branching off in multiple directions.

I'm just not confident that Doomsday would be taking the entirety of the kinetic energy. His impact just started a chain reaction that Superman mentioned earlier.

I was gonna treat it like an exlosion calc and only calc what actually hits him off his surface area. He's defiently not tanking all of it, yeah.

I am actually against removing his 5-C AP, he was able to overpower Validus, who if I remember right, was able to contend with him for an extended period and harm him. I'd have to rewatch the movie though.

Well, yeah, it was branching off in multiple directions, before the entire thing shot upwards in its final explosion, destroying the entire island.

before the entire thing shot upwards in its final explosion
It shot in multiple directions.

The calc is also assuming it blew up the island rather than just the volcano. The entire island was submerged by the kryptonite nuke in a tidal wave and the volcanic burst was limited solely to the volcano.

That's a bit of an over-exaggeration, the tidal wave crashed against the shores and destroyed the docks, sure, but the island was widely unsubmerged, as we can see shots of the island as Superman gets the upper hand on Doomsday. Most of that explosion went upwards anyways, with how much of a behemoth the blast is, it'd probably have destroyed the entire island if it had been focused downwards too. We never see San Baquero anyways so we don't know how it looks like post-explosion, the best we have is the wiki says it 'destroyed the entire island', which I know isn't very compelling, but we have so little information to begin with.

The volcano was unsubmerged. The entire treeline and the former city was completely underwater by the time the volcano exploded.
There's really not much evidence of this, we only saw the water destroy the docks and slam against the island shores. Either way, even if the eruption didn't level the island, it definitely dwarfed it.

Now there's evidence
All that's left is quite literally the volcano. The entire forest that surrounded it was submerged completely.
even if the eruption didn't level the island
The calc is based on the entire island blowing up
801 px = 45.04 km (island length)
Just the volcano heavily reduces this as does the fact Doomsday just would not take the full energy of the eruption.
