Dante's catching friction feat after jumping off of Temen ni gru

Is this feat actually taken seriously and considered or is it very inconsistent and people just ignore it. I'm having a hard time processing whether or not this feat should be accepted mach 5 or above. As others have said before that if he were to move at such high speeds after jumping off Temen ni gru then wouldn't he have hit the ground by then due to how big the tower is? While others would generally say that since he supposedly caught friction that he's hypersonic or above but since the cutscene is mostly inconsistent I have a generally hard time believing this. I would love to see your guys opinions on this even if this is a very old topic.
