- Nero has one of each Devil Breaker, and Dante has only the Devil Arms from 1 + Rebellion, since Visions of V show him using during Mallet Island events

- They are in character but willing to kill each other

Doesn't necessarily need that.....he start with wire snatch and can use it pierce and grapple enemies and smash them around as shown in cutscenes.....

Even his physical strikes will ragdoll Dante.....

Royal Guard will help Dante if they engage in physical combat , and Dante can eventually reflect all tanked blows....thats his only viable option.

Tldr;
Dante needs to engage in CQC for RG advantage......
If not and they start few meters apart....Nero slings him and smashes him around like a flimsy toy.

I don't see where this stomp is coming from, Nero defeated Malphas who's stronger than V which includes Nightmare, while Dante defeated a Nightmare + Trish Tag team and even defeated Nelo Angelo, their AP is similar, Dante even has an advantage

Yeah, the only one was the first fight, the other 2 looked more like a casual thing for Dante and I know the second novel says something about Nelo being the only one to match Dante's power.

Still, Nero is like a weaker version of Nelo and basically a punching, haxing bag for Dante
