Possession Update
Danny Phantom ghosts have the ability to Overshadowed (Possession) others, this is already accepted and you can find it on the Ghost Physiology (Danny Phantom) page. I'll be using scans from it so you can look at it for reference but it's not really needed because I'll post them here.
Anyway, ghosts usually Overshadowed people by phasing into them.I'll be showcasing that they can do this via their basic energy when it comes into contact with the target and the effects it has. TLDR for those who just want to know the gist, if Danny Phantom ghosts hit you with an energy attack, you'll get corrupted and overtaken in the same manner as if he Overshadowed you (if you survive the initial attack). Below I'll show the comparisons...
* Energy Possession = Overshadowed Possession
Stealing Identity: In the episode "13", Kitty gets destabilized and is no longer able to maintain a body, forcing her to stay in the Ghost Zone. She then gives Johnny some of her clothes that contained her ambient energy and tells him to put them on a girl. This allowed Kitty to slowly possess Jazz, corrupting her the more of Kitty's clothes she put on, eventually allowing Kitty to take Jazz's body while Jazz's consciousness got stuck in the Ghost Zone. (Video here) / This is down through the normal Overshadow ability as well in the episode "Splitting Images", when Poindexter Overshadowed Danny Fenton, he kicked Danny's consciousness out of the body and yetted it to the Ghost Zone to take his place and from the perception of the other ghosts, Danny appeared as Poindexter (1:56). This shows that the possessions are the same as both allow the ghost to Overshadowed and even swap places.
Technology & Data: In the episode "Attack of the Killer Garage Sale", Technus is destroyed and splattered on old electronics but his ambient ghost energy infects it, allowing him to control them and change them. / Overshadowed is capable of the same thing as shown in the episode "Teacher of the Year", Danny outright states that Technus used his powers to go into the computer so he could to, then he literally phases into his computer and Overshadowed his OC video game character and changed him. Showing the possessions are the same in regards to effecting technology.
Inanimate Object Possession: In the episode "Fright Night", The Ecto Storm from the Soul Shredders energy could infect and corrupt inanimate objects, transforming them into ghost empowered monsters. / In the same episode, Danny Overshadowed an inanimate object, showing the possessions have the same capabilities of effecting inanimate objects.
Inflicting Disease: In the episode "Masters of All Time", we see that when Vlad gets hit with ambient ghost energy and while he gets ghosts powers, he's stricken with Ecto Acne which is a disease that would eventually kill him. / This is shown with Overshadowed possession as well, in the episode "Doctor's Disorders", a ghost bug Overshadowed's the students at Casper High and like with the ambient energy, they get ghost abilities but those without resistance are so sick, they can't even move. Showing that the energy possession and Overshadowed possession are the same.
Corruption: In the episode "Urban Jungle", Undergrowth used his vines to inject his energy into the target and take control of them, he outright corrupted Sam with his energy flowing through her. / In the episode "Ultimate Enemy", Danny's ghost half Overshadowed Vlad's ghost half and his evil corrupted and changed him. Showing the energy from both methods corrupt the target.
Passive Effects: In the episode "Phantom Planet", Skulker and several other ghosts blast Danny, attempting to kill him but he withstands the attack and we visually see their ghost energy infect his DNA and he gets his powers back. / Thes unintentional effects are shown with Overshadowed individuals as well, In the episode "Doctor's Disorders", the ghost bug was only suppose to get the students sick but it also gave them ghost powers as a side effect (7:40 to 7:55). This shows it's a passive effect because they weren't trying to give them powers, showing the ghosts passively infecting the individual with their effects of the possession regardless of intention.
Monstrous Amp: In the newest Graphic Novel "Fair Game", Lyca's physical form is destroyed and her emotional ambient energy came into contact with Danny's classmates and corrupted them (Scans here), even making the likes of Valerie more monstrous and powerful. / akin to how in the episode "What You Want", Dash got possess by a ghost and became more monstrous and powerful.
This all shows a ghost can infect and take hold of a target passively by having their energy come into contact with them and is another form of possession which makes sense, it's shown that a ghosts energy contains their consciousness/will, seeing as Danny couldn't escape the Ghost Zone, he sent his energy to contact Sam and Tucker.
The potency would be the same level as Danny's currently accepted potency for his possession. The abilities of possession will be listed under the Ectoplasm Manipulation portion in the ghost physiology page if accepted.
Immortality Type 2 Justification Addition
I noticed DP ghosts had type 2 Immortality but no justification so let's change that.
As stated on our Immortality page.
2 Resilient Immortality: Characters with this degree of immortality can indefinitely survive injuries that would otherwise be lethal to a normal person, without needing to heal. This type of immortality can have different levels of effectiveness and can be bypassed, for example, by causing extremely severe wounds or the complete destruction of the body or specific parts of it, such as the head, etc.
In the episode "Boxed Up Fury", the Box ghost shows ghosts can remove their own heads and be perfectly fine. Ghosts true forms are accepted as abstract emotions and in the newest Graphic Novel "Fair Game", Lyca is destroyed and her true self "emotional energy" is scattered into small particles and she couldn't regenerate, Valerie mentions that energy can't be destroyed and once they collected the energy, Lyca could regenerate and construct a new body for herself (Scans here).
This shows that their manifestations can operate even when removing their head, and their true forms while unable to regenerate from being scattered into emotional energy they still are conscious and if the energy is collected, they can start to operate again. Lose of ones head and being reduced to emotional energy would be fatal so it should count.
Misc Additions
I've got two ability additions for Danny.
1. Danmaku
In the previous graphic novel "A Glitch in Time", after getting his new drive, Danny releases about 9 blasts of energy and then they detonate, each clearly at minimum releasing 20 energy balls. Sam even stated she's never seen him do that before. This should fit our Danmaku standards, it's Multi-Directional.
2. Breaking the Fourth Wall
At the beginning of the new book, Danny interrupted the narration and did it himself (Top of the scan)
Narration: If you're just tuning in, here's the backstory on Amity Park's own menace, Danny Phantom -
Danny: I'll take it from here.
He then starts explaining the previous events to the reader, which means he has an awareness of the Fourth Wall.
If certain scans don't work, let me know, I'll try and fix them or grab new ones. That's all.
