Could asura stomp hulk?

^Marvel is inconsistent. Technically he should be 3-A at his strongest for creating a multiversal earthquake and destroying the physical matter of an entire dimension...accidentally.

However, this doesn't really make sense as he has been consistently shown to be inferior to galaxy level characters like Zeus.

It really depends on what you think is more likely but officially, as in universally accepted stats on this wiki, Asura does stomp Hulk.

Seriously. Marvel, or rather, the beings like Hulk from his reality happened to be inconsistent as mood swings, charged battery, whatever word that doesn't stay consistent. You want proof? TheMightyRegulator. Can you show people why those people like the Hulk happen to have absolutely inconsistent power levels compared to others, please? Also they are too fluctuating not only in power, but in some other ways as well. How come Hulk never gets to do that multiversal earthquake or shock wave again, anyway? That wasn't sarcasm, by the way.

Well, Hulk has been strangled unconscious by an ordinary snake in one story (by Joe Casey 1998, I think), but also defeated Onslaught with Franklin Richards' power, as well as the demon Zom, who is supposedly likely more powerful than Dormammu, and caused an earthquake across an infinite number of planets. So he really does go from 9-C to High 3-A depending on the story.

Yes. Whatever the plot requires for that particular story. Marvel may be the most inconsistent franchise on the planet. Medaka Box could probably give it a run for its money though.

So for example, Asura is beating up demigod after demigod and have none of these inconvenient things that are massively embarassing to himself, while Hulk is affected by non-superpowered non-human beings? Realistically, they shouldn't even affect him slightly.

Yes. Thor has similar extremes. He has been knocked unconscious by a gunshot wound to the head, but also once contained an explosion that would destroy 1/5th of the universe.

...It's like somebody saw Hulk and Thor in real life, then draw their own comic book, and create a truly fictional story with events that shouldn't be happening as if it's to intentionally spite them.

Or to make them appear stronger than othervise. Since there are so many different writers, some of them like and some of them hate the characters.

For example, Jason Aaron seems to hate the Hulk and love Thor, so he will constantly try to make Hulk look bad in every way and Thor look good in every way.

But most writers probably do not care either way, and simply want to tell a story without caring about the any semblance of logic for the statistics.

And in another Deadpool story I think that he ate a nuclear warhead with no ill effects.

^Yeah. So, finally, as Ant said:

One time Thor beat both Hulk and Thing at the same time. With one arm. And I don't mean USING only one arm. He literally only had one arm as he lost the other. And still rekt both of them.

Marvel and DC need to water down their heavy hitters so the normal people and street levelers don't look useless in their respective Universe.

That was an alternative future in which Thor had the Odinforce, and another time the Hulk pushed 10x stronger warrior's madness Thor towards the ground with a single arm within regular continuity.

Similar thing with Frank Miller. He seems to love non-superpowered superheroes and dislikes a lot of superpowered superheroes. Hence the mess of BatGod fan-service that was Batman "beating" Superman in Dark Knight Returns.

Really? That's clearly discrimination. "LOL, I love Batman, so he'll beat Superman. I don't care what will actually and realistically happen if they fought."

Worse than that. In technical terms Batman didn't even beat him (he faked his own death during it to stop the fight) but before Frank made sure to give Bats some epic speech about "beating" him to make it look as if he could.

And he also portrayed Superman as a patriotic idiot not able to think for himself.
