Controlling a natural source of light

If a person is able to control a natural source of light, such as the auroras, and their attacks scale to the speed of their control, would it be enough to assume that the person can attack at light speed? Or does there need to be an explicit feat of the light travelling that fast?

Controlling Light is considered Light Manipulation though you don't necessarily need to move at the Speed of Light to control light. If their attack speed scales to the speed of their control, then with only this we can't assume its the speed of light. Unless more statements and evidence are explicitly provided.
