Yo, it's ya boi and I'm back once more to wank inFAMOUS

Alright but in all serious, fun little tidbit I found while replaying inFAMOUS 2. Skip to 3:34. Apparently, according to in game descriptions of the ability, Precision utilizes time dilation to make the world around Cole appear slower. At first, I thought this made no sense, I wrote it off as Cole using electricity to amp his reflexives, but then I remembered something.

Kessler, Cole from the future also randomly develops time powers, except he could only travel through time. If Fuutre Cole eventually develops time powers, then it makes sense that a less experienced Present Cole would have his own minor time manipulating powers.

This would probably only effect his reflexes, since even Cole himself moves in slow motion, but everything else does as well.

Tell me what ya think

Wouldn't be the first unexplained development of time powers in the inFAMOUSverse ;)

And it's not like we haven't used in game descriptions to give characters abilities before.

Still, both were exposed to Ray Field Radiation, and most of Kessler's powers are just more developed versions of Coles ;)

Plus, besides the in game explanation for Precision, there's no other explanation for what Precision is, so time dilation is the best bet.

Or amplified reactions via electricity (;

If that was the case, then Aiden Pearce should also have time dilation since their abilities work exactly the same, except Aiden can use focus whenever he wants.

But there's no description of electrically enhanced reflexes anywhere for the ability Ovo

And it's not like we haven't used game statements to give characters crazy powers before. There are several characters who were given Absolute Zero capabilities because of a description in game, and we're usually really stiff when regarding Absolute Zero feats in fiction.

Time dilation is the difference of flowing time measured by two observers. So by definition I don't think it can be that.

Did you watch the video? Cuz it shows that the in game description of Precision, which is "Enhances Time Dilation" it says it plain as day.

That is, if you've seen the video :>

What exactly do you wish to insert into the page?

The time dilation could be referred to the perspective of the player tho. It could be a case like the one here, where it just explains the power to the player

But if it's explaining the ability to the player, then all we have to go in is that Precision causes time dilation, because that is the only explanation of the power given in game.

@Ant

What does time dilation qualify as on here? Is it a sub power of Time Manipulation?

No, I do not think so. It is an inherent feature of the laws of physics.

Time Dilation is sloving down time

I think that Cole`s "PRECISION" is more of something like increasing the speed of information to his brain with electricity, so giving himself a form of accelerated perception?

Accelerated perception seems like an appropriate profile description of the ability.

Increasing your reflexes cause time dilation as a side effect. It's the same thing as "this guy is so much slower that he would look like a glacier for the other one".

But instead of you being faster than everyone else, even Cole himself moves slower when in use. The only thing that speeds up is his perception. This means that he himself is caught in the slowing effects of time dilation.

That's exactly why it looks more like enhanced reflexes. His perception is enhanced, and despite the fact that Cole himself moves slower, he is able to aim better.

We don't use PL wiki.

Also like, it's rarer to see people travelling to the future than the past
