Hi! I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this matchup: Cloud Strife (FF7/AC) vs Squall Leonhart (FF8)
However, to keep things more realistic (no turning into each other into toads or magic or summons etc), it would just be a simple sword fight. Everything else is equalised (speed, strength etc), and neither has access to materia (in Cloud's case) or junctions (in Squall's case). The fight takes place in a large open field, no access to any shelter or buildings.
Feel free to use any iteration of Cloud from FF7 including Advent Children/Advent Children Complete and any canon from any Dissidia. Also, any iteration of Squall from FF8 and any of the Dissidia games. For the time being, please do not take into account their Kingdom Hearts versions.
So in a case of pure swordsmanship and nothing else, who comes out tops?
(I have some opinions of my own, but I might be biased so I'll like to see what others think ^.^)
