Weapons made from the stuff pass right through regular mortals, but are there any examples of mortals touching any of them directly?

I don't consider Dr. Chase making bullets from it, since he could have just used tools to do so.

Or is this just some kind of "If it is meant to be an attack, it won't work" kind of deal?

I haven't read the series in a while but I remeber that Chiron in the Lightning Thief states that Riptide, a sword made from celestial bronze can't harm mortals because they aren't important enough to kill.
