Greetings

Few months ago, we had a new Castlevania Nocturne season and it's about time we put the revisions in motion, here, I seek to cover two main topics about the characters: Their new scaling + the feat used for it and UES (that will affect Trevor's era aswell), that being the reason why are scaling said feat to their physicals

Attack Potency and Scaling

By Season 1, Nocturne already had presented us with one character, Erzebet, while using Sekhmet's power, creating an Eclipse in order to block sunlight and let vampires roam free. It's important to know that this feat is done while Erzebet had 1/3 of Sekhmet's power only, as her soul is divided by 3 during the series, one with Erzebet, and the second one was in a museum and later absorbed by Erzebet aswell, alongside Annete taking the third one in the Spirit World

So, for scaling, we these notable events during the seasons:

Therefore, we have:

3X the Eclipse = Sekhmet, NC Sekhmet Drolta (Base was already scaling to the eclipse + 2/3 of Sekhmet), Red Eye Alucard, Full Power Richter (5-B)
2X the Eclipse = 2/3 Sekhmet Erzebet (5-B)
<2x the Eclipse = Base Richter, Dragon Maria and Juste (5-B)
1X the Eclipse = Base Alucard, Dragon Olrox, Sekhmet Annete (Low 5-B+)
<1X the Eclipse = Julia Belmont (Low 5-B+)

Already entering into hax territory, over the course of what seems to be just a few days, he undergoes an immense power jump, going from being completely stomped by 1/3 Erzebet to a level where he can challenge and damage a stronger version of her and even match an even more powerful foe (Drolta). This shift occurs without any extensive training or noticeable power-ups, at least not one big enough to close the gap that is about to be from 9-B (Richter's current tier) all the way to 5-B. After his awakening, I believe he was already approaching this level of power, but characters like him and Season 1 Maria and Drolta are now on a dubious level, lower than Low 5-B+, which is Ezrzebet's level when they first fought and got obliterated

With that in mind, I suggest to we list only the final version of the characters, considering it took just a few days for them to reach the ending levels, it's more likely their awakening was basically to reach said AP over the course of days. One could also argue an insane accelerated development that pushed them from an unknown number above 9-B all the way to 5-B, which would also explain why Richter in a span of minutes can first match Erzebet with the help of Juste and Maria to match Drolta, but I'll wait opinions on that.

The Attack Potency description for the characters:

Richter Belmont:

At least Wall level (can trade blows with vampires and Night Creatures), higher against supernatural beings with Whip (while his whip doesn't cause monsters to explode like Trevor's whip or the Morning Star, it has shown the ability to impart unnaturally high amounts of force upon monsters on its receiving end, being capable of blowing apart the skulls of vampires and Night Creatures, and could knock back a crowd of vampires all at once with a single lash) | Planet level (Grew stronger overtime after reawakening his magic. Matched Erzebet when she had 2 parts of Sekhmet's soul merely days before she overpowered him, and later fought Night Creature Drolta after she absorbed Erzebet's powers) [153 Zettatons]
Keys: Suppressed | Awakened

Speed: Supersonic (can keep up with foes that can dodge his whip. Dodged a musket shot. Comparable to Annette, who could dodge a Night Creature's high-pressure waterjet cutter, with such waterjets moving at speeds on the order of Mach 3) | Relativistic+ (Matched Erzebet when she had 2 parts of Sekhmet's soul), up to FTL at full power (Evenly matched with Alucard and Drolta)

Lifting Strength: Superhuman (Stronger than the average human, but wasn't capable of recovering his Whip from a Vampire's grip) | Class Z (Matched Erzebet and Drolta in strength)

Maria:

Attack Potency: Unknown physically, up to at least Wall level with summons (Her bird summons can kill Night Creatures, her Lion summon could send Drolda flything through multiple wooden banks) | Unknown physically, up to Planet level with summons (Her Dragon summon could fight and harm Erzebet after she had 2 parts of Sekhmet soul)

Speed: Supersonic (Comparabe to Richter, who dodged a musket shot. Comparable to Annette, who could dodge a Night Creature's high-pressure waterjet cutter, with such waterjets moving at speeds on the order of Mach 3) | Relativistic+ (Capable of keeping up with Vampires and other Night Creatures, aswell as react to Erzebet alongside her summons)

Lifting Strength: Class K for her Lion Familiar (It can match and push Drolda away), up to Class Z with her Dragon summon (It matched Erzebet)

Annette:

Attack Potency: At least Wall level (Capable of fighting multiple Night Creatures and against Vampires like Base Drolda), higher with Weapons and Magic (Her magic made weapons are able to easily tears to night creatures that are comparable to her physically, can break walls and pillars) | Small Planet level+ (Absorbed 1 part of Sekhmet's soul, which, in the hands of Erzebet, was used to create an Eclipse) [51 Zettatons]

Speed: Supersonic (Dodged a Night Creature's high-pressure waterjet cutter, with such waterjets moving at speeds on the order of Mach 3 | Relativistic+ (Could catch Drolta's attack)

Lifting Strength: Unknown or Superhuman, far higher with Magnetism (It needs calcs, but she can move multiple constructs with this) | Class Z (Blocked an attack from Drolta)

Julia Belmont:

Attack Potency: At most Small Planet level+ (Capable of fighting and overpowering Olrox, her Fire Magic forced him to use his Dragon Form, her Ice magic can block his lightning attacks that could harm Night Creature Drolta) [51 Zettatons]

Speed: Relativistic+ (Comparable to Dragon Olrox)

Lifting Strength: Class Z (Blocked and dealt with Dragon Olrox's weight with a single arm)

Olrox:

Unknown (His Base form hasn't shown many feats, but should be comparable, if not superior to most vampires), Small Planet level+ in Dragon Form (Matched and eventually overpowered Night Creature Drolta) [51 Zettatons]

Speed: Relativistic+ in Dragon Form (Kept up and eventually cornered Drolta)

Lifting Strength: Class Z in Dragon Form (Should be superior to Night Creature Drolta)

Juste Belmont

At least Wall level (Can harm vampires like Tera with unarmed blows, staggering her with punches to the face and knocking her back with kicks, and managed to casually crack two of her fingers, causing her to yelp in pain), higher against supernatural beings with Whip (Uses the same leather whip from Trevor Belmont, which is enchanted against night creatures and supernatural beings) | Planet level (A master spellcaster, considered the strongest sorcerer the Belmont line ever produced, who defeated countless vampires and could "roast a whole nest of them with a burst of flames" in his youth, barely needing the whip or other weapons to kill vampires. Able to harm Erzsebet Báthory after she had absorbed 2/3 of Sekhmet's soul and caused the Eclipse) [102 Zettatons]

Keys: Suppressed | Awakened

Speed: Relativistic+ (Kept up with Erzebet)

Lifting Strength: Class Z

Drolta:

Attack Potency: At least Wall level (Stated to be a particularly powerful vampire), higher in her winged form (Matched post awakening Richter to an extent) | Small Planet level+ (Even after losing the parts of Sekhmet's soul, Drolta was still able to keep the Eclipse, with her death being the only thing that actually ended it. Matched Alucard and even overpowered him at a certain point. Completely unfazed by an attack from a weakened Erzebet) [51 Zettatons], up to Planet level with 2 parts of Sekhmet's soul (Added to herself twice the power needed to create the Eclipse. Matched Richter and Alucard) [153 Zettatons]

Speed: Relativistic+ (Kept up with Alucard), up to FTL with 2 parts of Sekhmet's soul

Lifting Strength: Class Z (Her base power can keep the Eclipse going), higher with 2 parts of Sekhmet's soul

Alucard:

Large Building level+
(Stronger than Vampire Generals and feared by them. Was able to fight against a weakened Dracula on hand to hand and actually harm him, whereas Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades were unable to deal any actual damage to his father, though he was ultimately no match. Managed to push back Dracula's fire-ball with help from Trevor and Sypha.) | Small Planet level+ (Can fight evenly against Night Creature Drolta, who even after losing her Sekhmet powers, could still keep the Eclipse) [51 Zettatons], up to Planet level at full power (By powering up and going all out, Alucard was comparable to Richter Belmont and matched Drolta when she had 2/3 of Sekhmet's powers) [153 Zettatons]

Keys: Original Series | Nocturne

Speed: At least Relativistic+ (Faster than before, capable of slicing Drolda while being completely undetected by everyone sorrounding her at the moment, including vampires and a post awakening Richter Belmont), up to FTL at full power (Kept up with Night Creature Drolta even after she absorbed Erzebet's powers)

Lifting Strength: Class Z (Matched Drolta's strength even when she had 2 parts of Sekhmet's powers, 1 of them being anough to move the Moon)

Erzebet Bathory:

Attack Potency: Unknown (Far, far more powerful than Drolda, Olrox and other Vampires, with her presence striking fear on everyone), Small Planet level+ with 1 part of Sekhmet's power (Created an Eclipse) [51 Zettatons], up to Planet level with 2 parts of Sekhmet's powers (Twice as powerful, fought Richter, Maria and Juste for an extended period of time) [102 Zettatons]

Speed: At least Relativistic+ (Should be massively faster than every other vampire on her command, casually reacted to Richter and Maria)

Lifting Strength: Class Z (Capable of quickly moving the moon)

Universal Energy System

We have numerous types of magic in the series, and I want to focus on two: Elemental Magic and Soul Magic

We mainly see elemental magic thanks to the speakers and, later, to the Belmonts. Scaling alone already points to them having similar stats to their magical attacks, but we also see numerous instances where we directly see elemental magic powering up either physical attacks or even weapons like whips and swords

In season 3, we have a character called The Visitor, who attacks Lindenfeld and enters their church, ploting a way to steal the souls of the village. He succeeds, and enters a battle against Trevor Belmont, however, he surprises the good hunter since even after numerous attacks and even being continuosly whiped by the Morning Star, The Visitor was still standing and showing a massive power up from his base form (Who was cornered by regular Walachians), and Saint Germain directly states his current power is thanks to the souls he absorbed

Soul Magic also physically powers up Death after he gathers a bunch of them for his ritual in Season 4

The reason why Soul Magic is relevant is because Nocturne actually gave us a new hax for Vampires: Soul Absorption, thanks to both Erzebet and Drolta absorbing parts of Sekhmet's soul via blood sucking, this is most likely thanks to soul and blood being related in the series. We see how literall this is by the ending, where it is shown in the astral realm all three Sekhmets meeting and fusing into the OG, those parts were the ones used by Annette, Drolta and Erzebet. Last, but certainly not least, we have a direct statement of the Eclipse physically taxing Erzebet

Considering this, Castlevania Animated Series should be considered a verse that has Universal Energy System with its magic and magical feats should scale to their physical stats

The scaling proposed above already uses this logic, however, applying an UES to the series also changes a few things in the OG series, mainly Sypha and Dracula

With all of this, I end this part of the CRT. I plan on making the Hax additions as soon as the scaling and UES gets accepted, although you guys can just add it on the comments here if you want. Thanks for your attention

The 2/3rd souls of Sekhmet Erzebet had did increase her power level so much that she was able to make 7 of those electric orbs in season 2, where in the first season only one of those was sufficient enough to make the eclipse, so Erzebet should have a 7 times amp from her 2/3rd souls amp.

I feel like we should still include the possibility that they don’t directly scale to the actual power of Sekhmet as an option since other than the eclipse, the visual scale of these feats and abilities clearly don’t reflect Tier 5. But other than that yh pretty much

The main plot and threat of Nocturne is that Sekhmet's power can do these eclipses in the first place, that's literally the whole point of her power. Them keeping up with Sekhmet doesn't contradict the scaling, it just means they can keep up with said character in the first place.

YeahI but it feels like that level of power is never actually exerted when it come down to the fights tbh. Ofc it’s creating an eclipse but feels like it’s too exclusively put towards that only, even though it’s draining of Erzebet’s power

There’s definitely an argument for scaling to it as such but it honestly doesn’t feel like it holds up in the writers’ intent section to me at least. Feels like it should at least be put up to a bit of criticality for that alone.

It’s also a MASSIVE jump from the original series. It’s essentially introducing a god sure but doesn’t quite fit the series’ power levelling curve

Looking through the thread, it looks pretty good to me, though I feel like with Alucard getting much stronger to the point he'd easily surpass his father in season 2, he should have an FTL rating outright in Nocturne given Dracula was able to keep up with his speed amp move despite being blood starved. Maria should physically scale to being around the Dragon's level given she did take some damage with the dragon when Erzebet fought them, plus both Juste and Maria did survive a blast from a non nerfed Erzebet at the end of their fight so she'd at least downscale from the tier 5 feats on that end. Lastly like I said, the 2/3rd souls amp from Sekhmet should be a 7 times amp given how many of those orbs she was able to conjure which can do the eclipse feat in the first place.

@Jinx666 It's still physically taxing Erzebet's body when she does it, the fact we have that stated and shown with Drolta and Erzebet's conversation shows this isn't just some random spell she's doing, she has to do this physically, that alongside Sekhmet's entire schtick being the daughter of Ra and the UES being proposed would just solidify this scaling physically to her stats. Even if you want to argue that this is somehow focusing entirely on the eclipse, that's never once stated as something Erzebet or Sekhmet themselves are doing, otherwise they wouldn't be able to focus their power on everyone else in the fight.

weren’t they also simultaneously using Sekhmet power against her during the fight to weaken her?

Just feels weird that everyone else also physically scales to this given it’s portrayed as this godlike power. Again, there’s merit but it just doesn’t feel like that level of eclipse creating power is reflected in the physicals and was more of some passive effect that still had a tax on the body.

I’d have to rewatch s1 but I mean it just feels like it’s a huge jump, esp when it’s the only real feat of that calibre, and esp when they’re still portraying things like slicing wooden buildings as impressive in comparison. But other than that I don’t feel strongly opposed either

Alucard and Richter literally fought Drolta amped by Sekhmet’s powers and Annette didn’t do anything to her until the last second. With the former two ripping off limps and hurting her to boot. The weakening argument doesn’t really work for those two. As for Juste and Maria they still survived entire blows from Erzebet at times when Annette was losing consciousness, plus both characters got power ups in the series so there’s an in story reason for the power jump making them keep up with her.

This all still depends whether you want to say they’re using the eclipse level power on their physicals over it being a passive application, when the rest of the series visually shows nothing that implies that tbh.

It just feels like this will get a lot of scrutiny (outside the wiki at least) making them definitely Tier 5 when Netflix Castlevania in itself feels much more grounded than a general Planet level scale based on an eclipse thing. The only thing saying it is a physical thing is the face erzebet gets exhausted but you can maybe attribute that to the fact her vessel isn’t built properly to house a gods power? Idk, just feels like planet level is just, not what they were trying to go for

Makes sense powerscaling wise but for smthn like this I think it’s better to include it as a possibly or ‘likely’ alongside a more grounded tiering the series tries to portray

You could say that for numerous other verses. It's rather easy to give a more consistent Tier 5 scale to verses where the story goes being Earth, but NetflixVania is focused on a Vampire battle during French Revolution, even more powerful series would find it difficult to portray Tier 5 characters or above, the fact that the authors actually went out of their way to make not only the Eclipse feat but a very consistent Universal Energy System, if anything, shows an effort of showcasing the true scale of their powers despite the limited place the story is set on

I do agree with Glassman's logic on the amount of orbs, I didn't noticed how Erzebet is able to create so many more despite having only another part of Sekhmet's power, it could be non linear and thus adding more parts of it produces far more energy

It just feels like this will get a lot of scrutiny (outside the wiki at least)
You say that like people outside of the wiki don't already take a majority of verses we scale as a joke. I really don't care what folks offsite have to say if they don't bother wanting to debate it in the forums.

It’s a losing battle regardless depending on what verse is actively being discussed but yeah, I feel the wiki should take the steps to mention both the highballs and the lowballs. Castlevania Netflix just doesn’t portray itself as a Planet level series overall and there’s nothing directly scaling the characters physically to the eclipse, esp when the show wants to act as if slicing part of a building is impressive

Sure if we ignore the entire plot point of the eclipse going on because of godlike powers the main villain has consumed and the fact we literally have statements that doing the eclipse itself physically taxes Erzebet on top of the UES that’s being proposed to show these would physically scale, then the series doesn’t have much that’s planetary, let alone anything that physically scales to the eclipse. You’re literally just arguing from incredulity at this point, make some argument that isn’t just “I don’t think it’s that legit”

I can’t rewatch castlevania over again atm to confirm it, but otherwise yeah there’s still nothing that concretely says that level of eclipse power is being used comparable to physicals when it can easily just be a passive thing

It’s just obviously gonna be met with huge scrutiny when the verse clearly emphasises it doesn’t work around actual Planet level power in physicals. And the strange sudden jump
Of characters going from around building to suddenly planet level

I’m not arguing it’s not a valid assumption, but more it needs to include the lowball alongside it since it’s pretty shaky trying to scale these characters physically. Tons of anti feats and consistency of a much tamer power average across the board just feels the safer bet to mention

Feels like it could easily be interpreted as more of an ‘environment destruction’ feat rather than scaling characters who can be harmed by standard run of the mill attacks to it physically

Then you didn’t pay attention to where Drolta said the eclipse physically drained Erzebet more than the others, that alone proves it’s actually done by physical strength. Thats the proof it scales, otherwise Erzebet wouldn’t remotely be phased and it would’ve only been written off as a random spell she casted.

This line of logic can be applied to literally any franchise ever that is ranked tier 5 or higher but doesn’t consistently show that kind of destruction all the time. That’s not much of a point to be made here when by that logic Dragon Ball shouldn’t even reach above tier 8 just because everyone isn’t constantly blowing up planets in ever single fight despite their power levels saying otherwise. Also said strange sudden jump is ignoring both Juste and Maria and Alucard having gotten stronger through the time that’s passed. Especially the former two when we literally see them get an upgrade with their powers to keep up with Erzebet when Maria couldn’t do anything prior. Can you actually refute the UES here beyond saying “it’s gonna be scrutinized”?

Why does it need to include the lowball? You’ve not given any good reason as to why it should.

The new tiering seems fine to me, as does the Universal Energy System.

And how the verse is viewed outside the site should never be an argument for anything, it's laughable that was even brought up. Same with the borderline AoE fallacies.

I haven't watched nocturne so I could be horribly wrong but wouldn’t Dracula scale. I recall him being stated to be the strongest creature or does he predate this entity?

Unfortunately no

Erzebet was shown to be human around the 16th or 17th century, it's when Drolta meets her for the first time (Dracula was "killed" in the 15th century)

Also, even if Olrox, for exemple, was around during Dracula's time, we have no proof he was just as strong as his Nocturne self

I don’t see why it’s ‘laughable’ tbh. Makes it seem as though we just want to exist in an echo chamber and that everyone else outside of this wiki is stupid in their scaling or smthn.

@Lord_Farquaad69420 unless there's some artbook or interview that mentions Dracula's stronger than Olrox or Erzebet, there's nothing really backing up his netflix counterpart surpassing these two.

@Jinx666 Everyone outside of the wiki is more than welcomed to make an account to argue against how we scale things, if they're still gonna throw shade at us and not bother arguing then why give them the time of day?

Have you linked that statement then? I don’t see it but I’m on mobile ig

Even then it can be attributed to the fact she only had a portion of Sekhmets power and that isn’t enough to maintain eternal eclipse, where it’s then implied the full power is what maintains it (and is an environment thing lbr)

Well no cause unlike Castlevania, Dragon Ball has much higher visual feats and beyond, as well as the concept that all the characters can masterfully control their ki so that the residual doesn’t break the planet. That’s just a whole different power system.

‘Getting stronger’ and then it’s literally wall/building level to planet level, yeah that’s a pretty significant jump, especially when Sekhmet is meant to be in a whole different realm of power to them. Just doesn’t feel like the vessel is what scales

Why does it need to include the lowball? You’ve not given any good reason as to why it should.
Well it’s not gonna appear as a good reason to y’all if the consensus on public perception for this wiki is just…ignored.
The reason is that the series quite literally visually shows these characters are far more grounded than planet level and that it’s not the general. Base power. Saying this scales to physicals is also super shaky

Better to be fairer to interpretations than only be deadset on the one that the rest of the series barely supports imo

@Jinx666 Everyone outside of the wiki is more than welcomed to make an account to argue against how we scale things, if they're still gonna throw shade at us and not bother arguing then why give them the time of day?
Respectfully it doesn’t work like that. Blue names that have only just joined for the sake of arguing against a whole staff board is a lot of time and hassle for essentially nothing of value.

It’s an indexing site and the most popular and recognised, with literally every other corner of the internet laughing at it for a lot of things. Not that it will ever be solvable

All I’m saying is that yeah, we should perhaps start catering more to interpretations, like we do with values such as ‘possibly’ and ‘likely’, since despite how much this can be a logical conclusion, overall narrative and series setting of the characters and scale is like, nowhere near planet level lbr.

It's in the OP but here it is. Maintaining it still requires physical strength as shown with season 2. It lasting only for a finite period of time (a long finite period of time btw) doesn't discredit the feat, also stop saying it's only an environmental thing when the OP is arguing UES for the show on these kinds of feats scaling physically to the characters.

No, visually speaking Dragon Ball is either blowing up buildings or mountains consistently, everything higher is literally from their power levels rising and from specific feats from said higher characters like beerus' 2 instances of threatening the universe, show me a fight in the goku black arc where the saiyans consistently blew up galaxies or universes.

Yeah, getting stronger and going from large building level to moon level is also a thing in Early Dragon Ball, your point? The power gap still jumps immensely and we literally have characters in Nocturne canonically get stronger with their powers evolving.

You've not given any lowball to work on, so no we're not going to use something that doesn't exist. Actually make an argument for a lowballed version of the eclipse or argue against what the OP is addressing, because you're ignoring a majority of what's being pushed in the first place.

You say that, but I've seen several blue names who don't have much activity on the wiki be able to make some noteworthy changes to several verses because they bothered to argued their points as opposed to throw shade, so again not an argument to be made, this is just appealing to popularity at this point. "Start catering to more interpretations" is not an argument, actually make an argument for why that's the case. By that logic I can say "we should cater to the interpretation of folks who don't believe dragon ball ever goes beyond mountain level" just because and not give anything of substance to argue.

I also want to point out the idea of we scaling early versions of Richter and the rest of the Season 1 cast to 9-A or High 8-C based on them scaling/upscaling to their ancestors, granted their inheritance of Trevor's strenth and Sypha's Speaker Magic

Would affect S1 Post Awakening Richter, Maria, Tera, Nerfed Juste and Drolta

Juste is highly regarded in the story as a legendary hunter, plus his general fights without magic is still top notch so you could make the argument they’d potentially upscale from Trevor and Sypha

I guess we have enough approval then, thanks for all the replies

Part 2 will cover all the haxes to be added and then we start writing the profiles
