Not necesarilly. Sure, it's hell-bent on killing the opponent, but unless it would otherwise IC not want to kill things, and I don't think animals really care, then it should make little difference as to the strategy it uses.

Horned Lizards dont resist the kind of poison that the Cane toad uses, Harvester Ants produce Alkaloid poison, Cane Toads use Bufotoxins

Then the Horned Lizard is screwed. It's just a question of whether or not he Horned Lizard can kill the toad before it dies itself.

Hmm....Ieaning on the toad slightly here as it can simply escrete these toxin across its body as it fights, saying that the horned lizard has a range advantage with blood but its not overly damaging thus toxin secreted by the toad should allow it to overwhelm the lizard. Saying all this, real life animals are some of the most difficult to judge simply due to them more often then not lacking significant advantages over their opponents. Still I give it to the toad for now.

just gonna give size info here

adult cane toads range from 10-15 cm

but since horned lizards can varry in size i'm gonna use the texas horned lizard size which is 7.6-12.7

so the cane toad has a size advantage so to make this a little bit more fair for the horned lizard it's in it's top size and the cane toad is at the lowest size
