Can a High Schooler slay a Princess?

My point was mainly when X thinks both "she might be weak" and "she might be strong" without one belief surpassing the other. Is there an instance in the game where this happens?
For the game, the only example I know of is his fight with the Adversary, where both viewed each other as an equal opponent in an eternal duel so they just sorta fought forever until reality collapsed. In most other cases either the LQ lets a negative thought spiral downward (since the Princess' SR is just going to back a single thinking point constantly after you start imagining her definitively) and he loses, or he's filled with such an unrealistic level of determination that he bricks through her powers and wins.

lmao, yes, but it depends on the scenario, it's not like she always picks and choose "becoming stronger" because yes.
Yeah. If Ayanokouji only views her an inexperienced girl who he can easily defeat then she'd be incapable of winning. The Narrator ending of the game for example relies completely on the LQ killing the Princess and denying every single remote thought that she might come back or there's more to her. Someone like Adam Smasher for example, is a pretty trash matchup for the Princess because he will never view her as anything but a weak fleshy person to kill.

On the other hand, if Ayanokouji thinks that she's hiding something from him or doing a trick and she's more skilled than she lets on, then his imagination of the Princess is going to give her all those skills. Just thinking she's a beast, or faster than she looks, or hiding her strength, or is a demon or can conquer the world can all give her powers. It's why the LQ was a bad matchup for most routes since he's pretty straightforward and simple, which doesn't work well with her powers which exploits questioning and deep analysis on what she can be.
