Calculations: Priority and Necessity

Well, it is already mentioned in the first post, but given how many accepted calculations that we have assembled over the years, and that almost none have been added to the page, I think that it seems like a bit of a lost cause at the moment.

In addition, I still need to get the time to organise the current membership drive, and the wiki staff need to handle the Narutoforums calculation link replacement project, and the immeasurable speed definition needs to either be applied via a project, revised, or removed altogether, given that the ACF wiki does not use the rating and everybody seem to find it confusing.

Hmmm, I did originally think we could start over and have an indexing thread for accepted calcs in the Calc subforum, but it seems like it might be scrapped for now.

Would we gather the Narutoforums links as they are found, or are we preparing a giant gathering? And can't we just say immeasurable = unknown?

I was thinking it would be a waste of resources to try and dig up calcs from the beginning of time, but relevant and current to future calcs can be added to the page.

@UMR

We will have to start a wiki revision project for something this important. However, Kavpeny has not replied to my messages for over a week, so we should preferably wait a while longer.

@Matthew

I am not certain. As I mentioned, I think that the ACF wiki only uses Infinite and Irrelevant among their speed ratings, and I have to keep trying to explain Immeasurable in different threads every other day.

@Ant

I hope you don't start looking at the work ahead with an alarmed outlook. Sure, there's a lot to do, but it isn't the end of the world or anything. It's nothing that can't be done with organization and handling one issue at a time.

Not alarmed, just extremely overworked. I technically urgently need to add lots of statistics and other fact-references regarding Islamism and the institutional collapse of my country to Wikipedia, but this wiki takes up virtually all of my free time, so I haven't been able to do so for several months.

@Antvasima

Immeasurable is not complicated in the slightest. It makes perfect sense and works fine, and we need to not be so 100% dependent on ACF. We are our own entity.

You don't need to explain it to newcomers yourself.

Also, I think you are confused. The problem people seem to have is with Infinite, not Immeasurable, and that was what needed to be discussed. Nobody complained about Immeasurable being beyond linear time.

@UMR

Thank you. Do you mean here or in Wikipedia?

@Arigarmy

Major wiki projects such as this should preferably be initiated by the bureaucrats, and we decided to wait for a month, to see if the Narutoforums staff do anything about the problem, around September 19, if I remember correctly.

In here, I don't know what issues you're referring to regarding Wikipedia.

@Matthew

Well, the problem is that currently plenty of profiles are either rated as immeasurable simply for being spatially higher-dimensional, which makes absolutely no sense according to the laws of math and geometry, or due to moving in a void without time, which is generally treated separately from any other speed displays for the characters,

@UMR

Okay, no problem. I have a long list of information links that I need to insert into Wikipedia pages, to do my part to prevent the collapse of western civilisation, so it is very frustrating to be unable to do so.

@Ant

I understand and I intend to deal with it. I am sorry for not having started it yet, but I went through two 12 - 16 hours Car / Bus travels this week and had very busy days in-between, so I am tired.

Yes. I am completely overworked as it is, and organising it requires me to collect my thoughts. In addition, I have severe OCD, so it is hard for me to break routines and do new things.
