The Player can possibly Mind Manipulate first to stop McQueen from placing HTH on him but the Mind Manipulation isn't that good so just to be safe I'll vote for McQueen due to being more likely to place HTH of the player then the player mind manipulating him

Player chucks a Boogie Bomb at Thunder just as Thunder activates HtH. It makes Thunder not want to die temporarily which deactivates HtH momentarily. Thunder will be made into Swiss Cheese before he's able to get his suicidal tendency back.
