I would assume it's because iaian is an A class but genos' capabilities were enough to take him straight to S class.

Yeah, this justification should be removed and replaced with one that is more reasonable.

It might be because he's faster than various S Class heroes who are well above Iaian. Though we usually mention the character who has the original feat for the scaling chain so the link can be added instead of having to open multiple profiles before ultimately finding the link to the calculation blog.

If that was the case then Genos scalling to Iaian should be fine.
