The only thing blue pikmin has over CSC is intelligence

Not really much it can do with that other than run away and find nectar to heal wounds which would just give CSC also time to regenerate. Possible inconclusive in hindsight, but I'll stick with my vote

This thread is probably useful to get a better understanding of the blue pikmin's power. I wouldn't vote yet, but the biggest obstacle for the sea cucumber is the fact that pikmin are probably faster in every category. The gut-spilling attack employed by the sea cucumber would probably be deadly, though

Pikmin are faster in most regards, but the way the sea cucumber spills its guts looks to be faster than the sea cucumber moves itself:



A blue pikmin would be boned for sure if it decides to attack the sea cucumber's back door, but if it attacks where the sea cucumber wouldn't shoot, more than likely the blue pikmin would net a win. This bearing in mind that Pikmin 4 had Pikmin fighting against creatures that can eat creatures with High regen (Glow Pikmin), so there is the possibility that the regeneration wouldn't count anyway.

Normally it doesn't, but seeing as how the cucumber's regen sucks in the grand scheme of things, I don't doubt it myself.

Yeah, animal regeneration isn't very fast. Still, I'm pretty sure pikmin have never shown to be very proficient in battle without Olimar leading them. Also, isn't this sea cucumber a lot larger than the bosses Olimar has dealt with?

Eh, I dunno, wild pikmin were able to consistently fight against creatures larger than themselves, though it's usually for crap like Dwarf Bulborbs.

Well, attacking the Californian SC from the back may not be so deadly to the Blue Pikmin. They seem to have acid resistance, which is what the cucumber's digestive attack uses to threaten aggressors. Still, it's very likely that the latter would get snared by the spray, and the sticky nature of it would likely incapacitate the BP. So I'd still lean towards the cucumber
