Most people agree Digimon Adventure tri. Abridged has better character development and characterization than the main series.

I've never seen the original Digimon Tri, but I have seen the abridged version and enyojed it

sao abridged, it could be a littiral stand alone and work, has character devolpment, and solves most plotholes (and each episode is longer then 5 minutes)
