Nevermind my previous comment, I forgot about the paralyzing aura. Anyways, I believe Ginyu's switch beam takes a bit of time, no? What stops Beerus from one shotting before he activates the beam?

You fundamentally don't understand the concept of bloodlusted on this site.
Bloodlusted means that all characterization is removed and the characters go for their best stuff first thing.
