Her range is at least dozens of meters considering she can absorb buildings far off. Ichigo is much closer to her than those buildings. So the fact he isn't affect probably means he's resistant or like you said she didn't bother using it on him as she's sure it's not going to work
Its implied he would have been affected. Ayon interrupts him the first time. When he starts to absorb ayon there was actually quite a bit of delay before he got broken down by it. Like when ayon is charging him I don't see him breaking down and it seems like the closer you are the more aggressive to the absorption is as Ayon was unaffected until he got closer to quilge. It's also possible stronger people don't break down right away as you said Ichigo was unaffected but so was Ayon till he got closer. Furthermore when both ayon and Ichigo attacked from blindspots, it didn't seem like he was able to absorb/stop them
