BAN-KAI! Bleach General Discussion

Could the Hogyoku one day replace the Soul King? (assuming Yhwach comes back and needs to be put to rest permanently)

The Hogyoku is an extremely powerful artifact created by Urahara, with the ability to sense and materialize the desires of those around it. As far as potentially replacing the Soul King, there are a few key considerations:

- Purpose: The Soul King mainly functions to separate and stabilize the worlds (Soul Society, Human World, Hueco Mundo, etc). It's unclear if the Hogyoku has the specific capabilities to serve that purpose.

The Hogyoku could serve that purpose if it had a Will to do so.

- Power: The Hogyoku has immense power, but we don't know if it rivals the Soul King in terms of the sheer amount of power needed to maintain the world balance. It may fall short.

Hogyoku posses the Nail of the Soul King which was inside Rangiku and Aizen feat it to the Hogyoku. A piece of the Soul King has been shown to replace it already. The Hogyoku's power transcendent Aizen to beyond eveything in the verse according to the databook and elevated him to the status of Soul King already.

- Will/Control: The Hogyoku adapts to the will of others. Without a sufficiently strong and aligned will commanding it, the Hogyoku might not be capable of properly regulating the realms. Its tendencies are unpredictable.

Cycle of souls. Basing its will on humanity's collective hope and heart is an interesting idea and could give it the motivation it needs. The Hogyoku would follow the Will of the souls in the Reincarnation cycle, meaning humanity's heart and desire for "Hope."

- Motivation: Unless someone could convince the Hogyoku to want to stabilize the worlds, it may not be motivated to take on the Soul King's role which seems to require constant effort and control.

Motivation isn't that far fetch concept when coming from Urahara's technology and creations. I'm sure he could find away to activate it since he himself could use it without having it inside of him to help the Vizards.

- Longevity: The Soul King has persisted in its duty for a millennium. We don't know if the Hogyoku could do the same or if it would eventually grow idle and inert again.

The Hogyoku cannot be destroy by anything in Soul Society, otherwise, they would have kill Aizen already. Hogyoku won't have trouble with longivity in a verse where Mayuri and Urahara can create souls like the store kids and Nemu with longevity similar to Soul Reapers.

Based on this and Hisagi and Urahara's conversation in the light novel. Urahara's purpose for the "Hogyoku" could be a "Soul King replacement" that will be permanent and never required a sacrifice.

lmao Urahara creating a conciouness inside Hogyoku = God.

Ok but like hear me out. On one hand you can keep arguing for it, and perhaps you're right, you get off scott free, but now staff don't like you as much and they're just less lenient with you, which is not fun. Or you can just like swallow your pride and be less of a hornball, like I feel like we can joke around and have fun without being sexually charged. But what do I know, I'm an online forum powerscaler.

Nah this is all a part of Damage's master plan to get all Bleach fans yeeted, so he can implement his city block soul society meta.

That’s cuz I do get weirded out by what’s said in this chat at times 😭 but no my intention was not for my word choice to get you witch hunted

Ngl, I think Ichigo would have achieved a psuedo Horn of Salvation state that would've been transcendent. Going solely off the fact that Ichigo could sense Condom Aizen's reiatsu. Like idk if that Ichigo would beat God Aizen, but like two long haired chads duking it out would be cool to see.

I mean it granted Aizen butterfly form to wsk level and his muken self stronger than that

Yhwach said it would take too long to kill him because of the hogyoku and urahara said he got stronger which wouldn't be possible without hogyoku if he's sealed

I actually dislike Lille's intangibility. I feel like they should of had kido work against it. His intangibility is not interactive. Requires reality warping, damage transferal or his own ability used against him. Meaning 97% of bleach can't do shit to him. This is cool from a power perspective but knowing the entire cast can do nothing at all is kinda lame. At least you can damage Gerard. Idk. Would of been a great way to let kido shine and have it be an answer for intang but nope nobody can really do shit. It's either inconclusive or you lose with that guy. Just rubs me the wrong way

Kenpachi can deconstruct him with Reiatsu,
Ichigo can just be ichigo, Aizen can be Aizen, Infact his greatest problem is majorly the God Tiers. Yamamoto can do something, Ichibei, Otesu.

Kenpachi can deconstruct him with Reiatsu,
How? When you use kido you put reiatsu into it and kido was entirely ineffective
Ichigo can just be ichigo
Agree
Aizen can be Aizen
Probably

Yama's zanka no tachi east sure. Ichibei should work. Oetsu depends on what zan he uses. Gremmy could do something, Shunsui in bankai can, senjumaru's bankai can and that's about it. Probably still 97%.
