So the verse seems to already be 1-A from the demo maybe? The Player seems to be an actual canonical entity who lies beyond metaphor and sees it as a story or fiction.

There very well could be shenanigans that upscales the cast to The Player at some point considering this is an Atlus JRPG and they love doing wacky stuff like that

At bare mininum, Will and the gang, plus the final boss, will be somewhere around 3-A to Low 2-C. World-shttering magic is already confirmed to exist, if it's to mean the universe, so that's cool if we face it.

Also yeah, the player character's name is Will, already canonized from the trailers and the game itself when switching to and from English to Japanese, to English.

well, Metaphor seems to have sold really well!

also, I found a bunch of teasing for Megami Tensei connections during my playthrough of the demo, apparently it's not merely teasing though? (edit: the account I link in the spoiler is not me, I must clarify)

I'm like 22-23 hours in and heismay seems to be positively subsonic at least. Would lightning or light magics be considered the real deal?

this is just a fun little thing they're doing. This is an anniversary project after all, so unless this is brought up in story, it shouldn't have any bearing.
IMO this just contextualizes things especially with demons being conflated with the gods and old world when there were multiple gods. i find it hard to believe it's not an actual connection also considering the devil summoner archetype is basically a canonical power or archetype to use.

Just like with Persona when it lost the Shin Megami Tensei moniker! Metaphor will lose the Refantazio moniker if it becomes the Third Pillar!

Persona never had the "Shin Megami Tensei moniker," outside of localized subtitles. It was initially entitled Megami Ibunroku Persona. I'm not sure how future Metaphor sequels will be titled, but regardless of how it changes (or does not), it wouldn't be that much of an analogue to the Persona series, as the "Megami Ibunroku" title is used to specifically indicate Persona is part of the Megami Tensei franchise, whereas Metaphor Re:Fantazio's title doesn't tie it nominally to any other series.

Finished the game, I think nothing would get it to 1-A (except if you consider Almighty attacks somehow gets it to 1-A then sure, or maybe More is 1-A, idk). Else it's somewhere large city level, something like that (the Relics Neuras asked us to find would possibly get it to multicontinental to planetary).

Shiva scaling (the verse seems to be in MegaTen), The actual real world stuff (which is archetypal world but no one really directly scales aside from the great seeker)

I would say it's tops out at planetary at the very end. There's relics from neura's story that have the power to blow up the planet or well 'world' whatever that means.

But also in the final boss there's dialogue about the main bad guy being able to like recreate the world and wipe out entire tribes from existence. So presumably he would have the power to remake the planet.

Then we scale above that nebulously. If we scale of the demon summoner though, then we can summon beelzebub, Shiva, vishnu and that could get you to universal somewhere I'm pretty sure.
