Ashes to Phantoms. Ren Amamiya vs Ashen One

Carrying on the duels of the RPGs we got Ren returning to duke it out with the latest Dark Souls protag.

Speed is equalised and we are going with Mid Game Ren vs End Game Ashen One. Standard Battle Assumptions otherwise.

Ren - 4

Ashen - 3

Inconclusive - 1

Just

Assume I've never played Persona, does Ren have a method of getting around Resurrection

Right. Does he open with it in character, and how far into High 4-C is he? At base, Ashen One isn't far above baseline.

Well Ren is an RPG protag, so I can't really vouch for his opening move. Not sure of Ren's AP, he's listed as > Futaba who's palace contained a sun.

Kk, keep in mind I'm terrible with numbers but even if Ashen One is baseline AP isn't gonna matter cause of lol res. Ashen One has ways to win in this battle, such as turning invisible, power null, poison, healing and status effect null and can amp himself as well as continuing to res.

Ren likely has an AP edge, OHK, Status Effect Inducement as well as Almighty attacks and can also keep himself in the battle by healing when Ashen is forced to res. But the big kicker is he has a way to put down Ashen One it seems via mindhax, so it can come down to "Can Ren hang in and survive long enough to decide to mind hax?" in my mind this is the kicker.

1. Turning invisible isn't a win-con

2. Power Null is very specific in that it negs stuff like healing

3. Poison is a maybe, granted.

I'd go incon for now, then. Ren can't kill with any of his abilities, and Ashen One physically cannot harm Ren. I figure both will realize these facts within reasonable time, at which point Ashen One attempts to possibly poison and Ren attempts to mindhax.

Power null comes from Vow of Silence, actually, which negs all the magic. Also the casters and it doesn't last long, though.

Is Ren's stuff explicitly magic?

Well Ashen could go invisible to sneak attack Ren, though this is something that prolly won't happen considering Ren can be quite crafty in his own right and does that a lot in his game. Healing being negated is possibly a thing as Ren could if poisoned not be able to recover from it and eventually be beaten, but I'm simply doing conjecture at this point so I digress and vote counted.

It depends if they would by dark souls standards, not persona ones.

I don't know the answer to that though and will be going for a while.

Yes, but it isn't very high mindhax resistance.

Is Ren's mindhax more than a few creatures?

Well it only seems to be that, though I'm pretty sure it would effect everything in his game barring bosses

From what I've seen it can work on most enemies but it can only be used on one at a time so I'm not sure how that scales

I also brought up rapport because I figured that the fact it is designed to mindhax undead would make Ashen one resisting it more impressive

Not quite. If Ren's mindhax isn't super wide scale then that's not really a win-con.

In that case, my vote goes to Ashen. It is far more likely he lolnope.exe Ren before Ren manages to get around resurrection.

unless rens mindhax is good enough ashen juan wins

ren isnt really going to get around the ressurection otherwise

Bump, Konaguna take it your voting Ren then? @Paul Frank I reckon that's the thing here, Ren can possibly mind hax AO but its a question of if he can before he loses the war of attriton.

Kona calls everything fodder, I assume that's what he's doing here
