I'm going with Applejack, oddly enough. She's a fair bit faster (Mach 1k v Mach 4k; may want to equalize that), no sold an attack that's on the higher edges of Small Island/Large Mountain and defeated someone whose just below Island level if I recall.

Edit: Now that speed equalization has been set, I'm still going with Applejack for her somewhat better durability showings.

Not sure about Round two, though. Is it in Galan's character to use his durability negation skill from the get go?

Their tiers and speed are of equal range based on the wiki's listing of them. What is there to equalize?

The fact that even though the range is the same, one char can still be faster than the other by a wide margin.
