AP versus Speed

Say that there's a match where:
  • Character A has 5 times the AP and Durability of Character B
  • Character B has 5 times the Speed of Character A in all categories (Reaction, Combat, Travel, etc.)
  • Both character are the same skill level, have the same range, do not have any hax, and both have Infinite Stamina
Who wins?
(And would the situation be the same if the stat difference was 50 times? 5,000 times? 5,000,000 times? This assumes Destructive Capacity/AoE doesn't change so that the range remains equalized)

The faster character would probably eventually win by accumulating damage, albeit barely. Any one of those higher differences is inconclusive.

One cannot hurt the other and one cannot hit

Alright then so what I'm getting from this is that, given an equal increase, Speed trumps Power & Durability with diminishing returns until it basically becomes an Unbreakable Statue versus a Relativistic Flea, where no progress can be made

In that case, what about a lower stat difference? 2 times AP/Durability versus 2 times Speed Difference, so it's actually possible for Character A to be hurt, and Character B to get hit

the higher speed is far more movility by logic and can hit 2 times for the stronger but only 1 hit of the stronger character to compensate also he can dodge far more offten the hits of the stronger character so... yeah

what if they have the same abilities and skill
It will still be influenced heavily by what skill, range, endurance, and abilities they have. For instance:
If they’re fighting hand to hand and have the skill level of a slightly trained real world fighter, the faster character can overcome the AP/Dura gap by hitting pressure points like the chin, temple, solar plexus, etc. If they’re at the level of a professional fighter though, the one with higher AP can likely anticipate the opponent’s moves to overcome the speed advantage, evening the fight back out.
If they’re normal humans using piercing/cutting weapons, the AP gap is the difference between a wound that will leave you bleeding out and one that might cut off a limb, but both could deal fatal wounds without much trouble. Therefore the speed advantage would probably win by attacking first, and with more effective precision. But if they also have mid-low to high-low regen, then cutting off limbs becomes necessary and the one with the AP advantage probably wins.
If they’re both fairly skilled and have mid range weapons like staffs or spears, then the one with more speed will have an advantage, since they’d be able to control spacing such that only their weapon stays in the opponent’s range long enough to get hit. If they’re both unskilled, they’re both likely to misjudge range and take hits they could avoid, which will hurt the faster one more.

damn that deep analysis is sad that we never see unequalized speed tho because it gives figth profundity
