Okay, Devilman can't get around High-Godly with Transmutation but he can get around by one of his first move, which is Fusionism and fuse with Abel. What can Abel do about that?
I didn't really play any SMT game outside of mainline and persona but I don't think any of them performed fusion except for Cathedral of Shadows. And they don't resist Cathedral of Shadows.
And when did someone refuses to be fused in Cathedral of Shadows? All I know that can be remotely help here is fusion fail but they're still fused. I really don't remember some demon get out of that old man's house without at least turning into another demon.
Belle essentially has a contract with all of existence to not harm him in story. This extends to pretty much everything except mistletoe. I'm wondering whether or not fusionism counts as attempted harm.
All of Existence you mean Axiom? And probably not. While you'll struggle, it's like saying healing you is attempted harm. You'll also get a benefit after all, it's mutual benefit.
Fusing itself is mutual. You get each other's powers and you get the best out of each other. After that is a different issue. They're going to fight who's consciousness be the consciousness of the body. Also that skill won't work because they're one and the same now. Unless he's shown to stop punching himself.
Akira was a tear-jerker who don't have goal in life. Demon's fuse is harder to resist to the ones who has strong desires. Abel has a very ambitious desire, hasn't he? Punching golden face of a God in the face and all.
Well if ambitious fall under Pleasures beyond measures, but to be fair i dont wanne see Devilman win via Fusionism/Possesion even tought its his strongest power.
