All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

calc members don’t slack, people just don’t wanna review the same damn DB feat for the nth time this decade.

Needs more work on it.

1. I would remove anything that Son Goku got by training with Mr. Popo and Kami.

2. Remove Statistics Amplification. That's just Transformation, which covers your justification.

3. Split Base with tabber. Low-Class Saiyan and Elite-Class Saiyan.

4. Split Ozaru with tabbers. Low-Class Saiyan and Elite-Class Saiyan.

5. Split Super Saiyan tabber into Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Grade 2, Super Saiyan Grade 3, Super Saiyan Grade 4, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan 4

6. Make a new tabber. Add Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

7. Remove the Weakness section. Its Redundant. Each Saiyan has their own weakness section.

No, this. Avoid complicated things.
Saiyan physiology is the hardest page to create, I mean it would also be hard to read because some have their own exclusive abilities both manga & anime, also I don't think we can scale everything Goku has to every Saiyan like how enhanced senses, how the visuals we have from Goku & Beerus fight so currently the anime exclusively has limited space survival, and how the extra senses are exclusive to the anime (we also don't give this to every Saiyan Universe 6) because the extra senses also come from Gohan who uses Super Saiyan as a radar, but Goku doesn't seem surprised that allows him to do it too, but I don't know about the other Saiyans but currently it has been applied to every Saiyan (anime) Universe 7, and lastly Super Saiyan God where the anime has several statements about its divinity:
  • Vegeta explicitly releases his own divinity, and is supported by King Kai who is surprised that Goku & Vegeta can do it alone without the help of other Saiyans
This supports the "God of Logic" in the anime exclusive. Since they are not false gods "douto no kami" based on Whis' statement they can at least be compared to Kaioshin/Hakaishin but Whis is not sure which one or someone who only has God Ki but they are a Saiyan who has brought out their own divine power, like how Beerus was originally a mortal.

Besides that, about resistance is also safer to scale something closest to their physical rather than something they do with supernatural, but both Vegeta and Goku if scaling their resistance to other Saiyans based on their physiology is like they are already different people like in their base form they should not be ordinary Saiyans anymore, because in the anime exclusive Goku absorbed Super Saiyan God and made it his own power then Vegeta went through special training with Whis (like how King Kai wondered what they were doing on Planet Beerus) their base form should be the same as Goku who has Super Saiyan God inside his bode. Because... I made a thread about Tien Shinhan's upgrade to level 2-C, there was a scene where Vegeta healed the wound on his cheek quickly and instantly when he rubbed his cheek with his finger, this looks like how Goku healed his burned hand when he pushed Beerus into outer space.

So in conclusion, I think it's better to avoid complicated things and leave it as it is because even though we know that when it comes to implementation it will take time and consume a lot of energy, but because we have two continuities that are not accepted to have the same view for their respective abilities (except cosmology) like there it's best to leave it alone.

Edit: I forgot too, since we accept the anime as a continuation of Kai, they have limited weather manipulation visually which the manga doesn't have, and some characters have Super Saiyan Grade 2 & 3 because if I'm not mistaken when doing the addition thread, this is only obtained through training, which probably has to do with their muscle efficiency, which is why Cell can't do it well

It seems to be recent
how come we have a Hit profile from the manga, and not Beerus's? I'm pretty sure his basic Ultra Instinct + Ultra Ego should be enough to warrant his own profile
A Beerus profile is not as easy to hastily cobble together as a Hit profile is. He's a more significant character, so his profile is going to be held to a higher standard.

Well, theoretically, at least. These profiles really aren't held to any standard, but it's a psychological thing.

Question to y'all. If DBS: Beerus does end up removing a lot of the filler from the original Anime run, are we going to remove those feats and scaling from the profiles? Which are currently accepted, of course.

Since DBS: Beerus and its subsequent adaptations are said to be a more faithful adaptation of the original drafts from Toriyama, I imagine it will take precedence and replace the original Super anime, rather than merely cause us to create new, near-identical profiles for these characters, right?

Wouldn't this be like DBS Kai? I mean, we have DBZ Kai which is something more faithful to Toriyama's original draft but there's no profile for them. And maybe DBS: Beerus will be like that, unless we have a statement from DBS: Beerus and maybe the remastered arcs that follow, about how they'll be treated.

Because we can't erase what's already happened I guess? It's just a matter of how we find a statement that this remastered series will be treated as supplementary material (example: DBZ Kakarot) to canon or what, also we have DBZ Toei & DBZ Kai which should be the same case.

DBZ Toei » DBGT
DBZ Kai » DBS Anime

The only noteworthy filler we use for scaling is the Hit rematch, everything else is just side cast scaling.

Regardless, I have good sources that tell me the 'closer to Toriyama's vision' thing isn't going to be that drastic. The purpose of the remaster is to remaster the anime. They will probably slide in some manga stuff here and there but nobody should be holding their breath for them to start doing the manga 1 for 1.

That's cluttered and unnecessary.

We end up using DBZ Kai anyway. Which... Well, we shouldn't really use for reasons I'll mention in a future thread.

DBS: Beerus is 6 episodes long from 14, a LOT will be removed.

We literally didn't do Z Kai profiles because of that no?
We dont have Z Kai profiles because they lack any "pluses" compared to Toei profiles. They only have shortcomings, and we're aligning this with DBS Anime profiles.

The new DBS anime will be something completely new and distinct from both anime and manga. It will contain elements from both genres.

Beerus Saga and Golden Freeza Saga episodes will be "Remastered," but the Black/ToP episodes will be "Remake."

The Moro Arc anime, which will be released in February 2028, will also be a continuation of this series.

From everything we've seen nothing important scale wise is being removed in BoG. You will have to wait and see.

Yeah it seems unnecessary to create completely new profiles for this new "rerun". I doubt there will be any drastic changes going forward (especially in the Beerus arc), so I don't foresee the need to make new DBS profiles or delete the old one in exchange for these new ones.

Time will tell though. Maybe newer renders are in order? the current ones aren't bad though either.

It depends on what statements we get and what changes. Chances are we will probably just treat them as composite with the new anime visuals overriding the old ones. If the remaster actually changes events that will muddle it a bit.

Personally, I want them to just say the remaster is canon to the manga and be acknowledged by Toyotaro so DBS can just be one continuity going forward. But that's me being too hopeful.

In the hypothetical scenario where several key elements are changed, what would we do?

I mean if it’s even safe to assume this is the definitive revision of DBS that aligns the closest toriyamas vision I see more reasons to be a manga canon update than a DBZKai -DBS anime update.

Question, why is this image still being posted around? There is literally no source for it in JP, people just trust some random translation.

The sources I could find don't mention anything about beyond god Saiyan.

I'm more so curious on why it has been used (and is still being used in some places) in the first place, not saying it's used by VSBW
Standard disinformation campaign, essentially. People spread fake scans without fact checking then everyone just assumes it must be real because...why else would it be cited so frequently? Now why in the world did someone make this up and have it posted on the ShonenGamez website? I have no clue.

Either way It's the exact same reason why people insist Super Buu > Kid Buu. Despite having little to no actual evidence for it, the story itself contradicting it and Kid Buu having superior feats.

I've missed so much it's crazy. How did the thread to approve Kid Buu > Super Buu deal with the obvious contradiction of Goku outright saying he'd get stomped by the latter in the manga?

Simple. Goku said that when they were shrunken down. And they were explicitly weakened by it. People just extrapolated that to assume Kid Buu was weaker than Super Buu. Even though it is made very clear by Kibito Kai that Kid Buu was made weaker by gaining a heart. And even though Kid Buu can push back the Spirit Bomb, which was empowered by Ultimate Gohan's Ki. This is when characters like Freeza couldn't resist the Spirit Bomb at all despite Goku not actively pushing it or characters in the Buu Saga blaming the Spirit Bomb's initial failure on it not being powerful enough.

There is actually very little evidence that Goku was weaker than Super Buu. And plenty of statements of him becoming the 'strongest' as well as needing to charge his Ki in Super Saiyan 3 to be that strong. There is also plenty of evidence for Kid Buu being the strongest Buu, although we settled for Buuhan > Kid Buu > Super Buu.

Beyond that CRT that was linked, this blog is an excellent breakdown on the topic and exhausts virtually every possible argument and piece of evidence. So I highly recommend reading it if you have any doubts.

That literally is not true. There are countless examples of weaker characters overcoming stronger ones with hax, from classic DB with the bunny who can turn people into carrots or the demon who can kill people based on their bad deeds or Mafuba, to DBZ with Guldo's time stop, Babidi's mind control, Ginyu's Body Swap (literally the whole point of it is Ginyu wanting more powerful bodies), to DBS with Moro, 73 copycat abilities affecting even angels, old techniques like mafuba and body swap affecting way stronger characters, Beerus' hakai seemingly working on Arale, etc. Hell, even in non-canon, time power abilities work regardless of their ki.

There are specific abilities that can be resisted by having higher ki, yeah. But some of them are just weakness of the ability itself (like Hit's time skip), and others are just an inherent resistance ki users get.

Hell, I think there is a thread working on how hax works on the wiki that makes layers invalid if they bypass resistance by a quantity amp, so your logic would make all sort of layers invalid for DB given the nature of ki.
Hakai it's nothing for Arale
