All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

I feel like profiles for DBS characters whose portrayals across the manga and anime aren't distinct enough from each other to be separate should be composited. They're essentially the same characters anyway, and since the worldviews of both continuities are almost nearly identical, I don't really see why we should be splitting hairs over how these characters are depicted across the two mediums.
I can only see that working as different keys with tabbers properly distinguishing them like the Star Wars and DCEU profiles had before. By extension shouldn't it also apply to characters like Raditz? Giving him "Manga, Toei and Kai" Keys, since it's the same deal

I’m not sure which manga evidence would actually help in explaining it.
Primarily, Whis saying: "Time Control… What a surprise to see someone with the same ability as me."
Hit says he’s stopping time, but against SSJ Goku he says he’s traveling to the future (so the explanation still contradicts itself)
From his perspective, he is stopping time when he fast-forwards, given he is (typically) granted free range of movement against his opponent for the duration of his Time-Skip. However, he obviously does not stop time against Goku, considering that; even though his fully powered Time-Skip worked on God Goku, Goku was still capable of transforming into SSB; time is not frozen when he time-skips, he simply moves ahead of the actions of others as they naturally advance.
Manga Hit has a PL limit whereas Anime Hit hasn’t shown such a limit.
Hit's Battle Power limitations are not explicitly declared, but nothing ever suggests they do not exist.
Goku just breaks through + resists through his own ability to do that, and
  • Goku outpredicts his 0.1-second-long Time-Skip.
  • Hit "advanced himself" and developed a 0.2 and then 0.5-second-long Time-Skip, which successfully affected Goku.
    • He began unlocking his full potential throughout the fight explicitly like Saiyans can.
  • Goku powered up via Kaio-ken x10 and successfully outpredicted Hit's Time-Skip again.
  • Hit advances himself further and becomes stronger, lengthening his Time-Skip even further, allowing him to evade Goku's Kamehameha.
Manga Hit infamously lacks basically all the Assassin Arc elements of Anime Hit’s kit (Phasing, Energy Duplication, Phasing Attacks, Illusions, etc.) created by Hit’s Parallel Space.
Simply because he has not demonstrated any of the abilities on-page—y'know, because the manga version of the Tournament of Power was not interested in characters not named Goku, Jiren, or Vegeta (barely)—does not mean he does not possess them, nor does it mean he does not have the potential to develop them.

A storm would be approaching very soon
Is Tilted going to do something?

Honestly, I think whether or not Goku surpasses Beerus is really contingent on whether Vegeta does. Vegeta needs to surpass his master so we can have whis as the goal post

Using the manga to explain an ability in the anime despite that ability having far more numerous applications and their two being different canons is..... something alright
Argument from ignorance.

And, also, they are not "different canons". They exist within different continuities, but they share a worldview built off of the original story, Toriyama's Galactic Patrol saga, and Toriyama's general plot outlines for DBS; and their interpretations and development of the worldview both diverge (e.g., SSGSS, Immortality) and directly intersect (e.g., Broly, the High School Saga, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman) at various points. There are both minor and major differences between the two continuities's depiction of their worldviews, but they ultimately inform one another at points that lack contradiction.

Ultra Ego, which grants power with no upper limit, is described as being "driven by instinct" (本能に突き動かされて). Legendary Super Saiyan, which grants an endlessly increasing Ki, is described as "living purely by instinct" (本能のままに生きる).

Beerus is an unlimited moving goalpost.

Goku will never surpass him, till the last DBS arc atleast...and seeing how this legal shit is progressing, that will probably never happen
Beerus is the most upgraded character in Dragon Ball.

considering the % of power he used against Goku in the movie, Super Saiyan Blue should be much stronger than him

I think the pretty black hole simply put too much strain that it prevented Goku from focusing on someone to instant transmission to.
He could sense others outside of the Pretty Black Hole, though, because he could teleport, simply not to outside of its area of effect. Could possibly be because space-time within its area of effect is being warped by the intense gravity. Or even because the Pretty Black Hole warps energy, preventing Goku's Spirit from being relocated.

Wouldn't this allow us to backscale the low 1-C rating to Vegito?

Wouldn't this allow us to backscale the low 1-C rating to Vegito?
Anyone around regular Jiren's level of power should scale to Infinite Zamasu, that's what we used to do back in the good 'oll 3-A DBS days.

It's 2-C DBS all over again.
I don't think there will be a downgrade from the low 1-C of the hyper timeline to 2-C, i'd be fine if my infinite Zamasu got 5D and low 1-C in AP, but Jiren climbing with those lines that have more energy than all the other enemies seems a bit daring.

It basically becomes a question of whether Zamasu fusing with the hyper timeline is something that Jirens power can be compared to
