I just find it funny how he comes to the defense, acting all noble and reasonable, then proceeds to say some ignorant ass shit. Taking a shot at the verse for no reason at all. Yet is in our crts and general discussion. Just weird as hell.

I remember an old respect Toriyama thread from a guy/girl who studied in osaka and did a break down of the artistic skills and direction of flow. I already knew most of that stuff like Toriyamas art is heavily underrated due DBs popularity and Toriyamas crazy flow skills - ihmo the only guy who comes close to it is Junji Ito. Both of them mastered the manga in so many ways, its insane.
Anyway ... some stuff I didnt know like he was already a millionair thanks to Dr.Slump and set for life. Other things which - imo - could explain why Toriyama gets so much hate. He never wanted to be a mangaka at first and mostly went there for the money and didnt go with the same drive compared to a lot of other mangakas. You even see this type of hate in sports like mr. xyz wanted to do this and that but instead went to this cause of mom/dad/money/whatever and reached all time geat status.
It was a neat break down which was pretty much a "Why Toriyama is a great mangaka under every way of measuring greatness" - raw skills, big fans/obsessed mangakas of Toriyama and numbers.
A lot of people dont realize how crazy two best sellers are and Toriyama had best sellers at two different generes which is neat.
^^^^This just makes you a great mangaka ... but if you look at the whole picture and the things Toriyama did in just one life time
I know it aint worth much since I became a fully blooded DB fan in the last years, but Toriyama is hands down one of the fiction greats.

Not wrong. I really dislike him as DB's 'God' because Grand Priest is way better in terms of hax and capabilities. All Zeno has is that Low 1-C tier and Grand Priest used to be Low 1-C himself, until some people got it removed for reasons.
