All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

For some reason, when Goku goes Super Saiyan against Rildo, Rildo says Goku "[hadn't been using] even half of [his] true power" (実力の半分のパワーも出していなかった, jitsuryoku no hanbun no pawā mo dashite inakatta) up until then.
 
Someone has that Dodoria scan saying they could destroy a planet with just one punch?

I ended up finding it here ( found it in 3 different languages )

Although Portuguese version seems to imply the actual destruction of the planet, Spanish and specially English (with cleared being used) imply more of wiping all life/opposition, which given its position as a Frieza soldier seems more consistent than literally destroying the planet

Yeah he does say that, crazy in GT is implied Pan is comparable to his base form lol, Pan soloing Z is crazy, but when you look at DBS powerscaling creep where Krilin or Piccolo at the very start of the series are already stronger than SSG Goku from BOG, you understand how Dragon ball absolutely sucks at consistency and coherence

Question, shouldnt DBS not scale to the whole Buuhan thing? becouse in DBZ Kai they cut Dende's explanation and a bunch of other things, so pretty sure the feat is much lowballed in the Kai continuinty. Also, not like characters in early dbs would scale to it, Goku and vegeta separatly wouldn't, and the whole kid buu being stronger thingy is also not a thing in Kai.

I think the original DBZ stories should be canon for the manga, including Bulma stuff in the sky and Goku training in the afterlife that didn't tell how Goku arrived at Ssj2 and Ssj3 in the manga, these stories should be canon for the manga since these original episodes were created by Akira's ideas.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt since you were just asking a question, but damn near all of this is wrong. For Toei they explain that the outside space is just a superior version of the Vice Shout, and Kai implies (I think they say it, but they don’t show the flashback which is the main difference) that too and they’re still gonna destroy the universe, and we have the guides that we can use for Kai that say the same thing. Kid Buu being the strongest is in Kai, and it’s also in the first minute of DBS anime episode 1, Kid Buu is called the strongest enemy in history.

Honestly, due to the current legal mess, the Super Anime will likely take another decade to comeback, Toyotaro doesn't hold the Anime rights and is focused in the manga, and Toei neither can continue Daima without getting into trouble. So, Toei's only option would be either adapt the Xenoverse or FighterZ's story lines or create a new series, but it's unlikely becouse adapting a non-linear and chaotic story like those games surely wouldn't guarantee their success, as it happens now with Heores that while its only promotional, people do not care about it and a new story from scractch certainly is a hot take. So, I'm inclined to believe that if Toei wants to give us a new animated series that will have to be either a GT 2 or a GT reboot.....But most likely would be a GT 2 (Basically DB AF official), becouse thats the only branch of Dragon Ball Toei owns. So yeah, I'm confident the new series would have to be focused around the GT timeline.

If i wait another 10 years to see more of Dragon Ball i will be 36 years old, this internal fight could end soon or return to the anime adapting the Moro arc and arc of Granola.

But they don't hold ALL the rights, they have to ask permission to Sueisha and Bird studio first, Toriyama is dead now and Toyotaro can't own the license, the inheritance will logically go to Sasuke Toriyama and Kikka (Toriyama's two sons) and we don't know how that thing will work out. Sueisha will not let Toei do what they want, this isn't like 2015 anymore. This is much more complex than what most people think.

Sure, but they can't now, and is a fact it's sueisha's partial fault as of why we don't see neither Moro or Granolah animated yet, it's been 8 years.....And the Anime is a cash grab, don't you think Moro and Granolah arcs would've been already animated ages ago???. Moreso knowing how Akyo had to distance himself from Sueisha for things like this and is involved in a legal mess that doesn't seem like it will end soon.

you are not lying on that, the author is in the afterlife, the ones who are in charge of continuing have a hard time and the studio in charge of the animation is...not on the line

Shueisha no longer has control over what Toei can do with their anime, so long as they are not handling material from the manga.
The audiovisual rights (i.e., the rights to the anime and video games) are controlled by Capsule Corp Tokyo.

I'm not particularly interested in seeing those two story arcs be adapted. I'd much rather they remain in comic form, and Toei produces original stories of their own.
