I don't think that's how bio manipulation works for Alex. Has to stab his hands in and control their body and consume.
Which he cant do through her aura

How is that proof it will stop his thought processes? And where does 300 tons come from, because I just went through a powerscaling trail and ended up back at the Nevermores, which is 141 tons.

My argument is that Nora's lightning would be more effective than off the brand Dust ammo. What's unbelievable about that? And I'm actually trying to remember which other people did she harm aside from the above two you listed.

Inb4 caught by a net of tendrils or Alex summoning an infected gas around him.

Alex's mind completely shuts down any experience gap between them. Guy ate a thousand in his game early. So that accounts for the numerous soldiers already.

Might be hard to put up your aura barrier when you start getting infected and transitioning into an infected.

Nevermore (141 Tons) < Ruby <<<<<<< Coco (Can oneshot multiple nevermores so casually its not even funny) < Velvet < Post Timeskip RWBY

@CoB if she gets caught in a net she uses her semblance and disperses into rose petals to escape, hell she can just use her semblance to avoid his attack in general

Aura is passive, there is no "Put up your barrier"

Well that was bad wording on my part anyway. Anyway, with aura barriers being like that... My point is the moment Ruby is infected, she's done for. Gas attacks are not something we've seen aura block yet.

I haven't seen Ruby actually use her Semblance to phase through attacks. Even in the trailer she used it to get around the Grimm not outright phase through them, and I'm still not sure how to feel about using this as Logia like Intangibility as Ruby has never shown to do this in the series again.

By letting her fly over it like it grants her the ability to do? And said petals are still protected by Aura.

By doing a quick dash away liks ehe's done before? Hell she can use her rifle recoil to propell herself backwards if he tries

So Alex hits the gas which can infect an entire city in just days, Ruby breathes and she dies (99.999% fatality rate), or she breathes and gets mind controlled (unlikely because the fatality rate).

Let's not forget Alex is basically a master assassin, can sneak into entire military bases undercover and catch even the most lethal soldiers and infected off guard. His shapeshifting abilites can easily catch her off guard which he can use to his advantage, and his massive intellect in a giant number of fields helps him out too.

She uses projectiles which are nulled by his shield, and even if he's encased in ice, he still has various methods to free himself.

Also how does that scaling equate to 300 tons AP?

Its resistance against sharp attacks is questionable though. And the reason why I say Ruby won't last is because in a battle of attrition, she isn't going to last.

Resistance to sharp attacks questionable? The White Fang Lieutenant got attacked by Weiss about at least 15 times consecutively with a sword all over his body and still didn't get cut. Resistance to sharp attacks 100%

Huh, take back my word. Still looking my word on it for the sharp force.

The limit is meaningless when Ruby can't hit Alex (due to his superior experience and capability to end her with infectious gas and tendrils) or lack of damage. Alex can pull off a "I got stabbed, but grab her, disarm her, infect her" sort of deal. And people who tend to be grabbed by Alex don't last long. If Alex realizes he can't hurt her with conventional attacks, she'll swap to infectious gas. Or perform other adaptations.

So continuously damaging her aura = losing her shield. Hmmm, doesn't help if we don't know how much damage auras can withstand.

And the only dangerous element I see from her is electricity, which even that is arguable. Over time he'd just gain resistance to it, and he has methods to stop it or minimize the damage. He can answer her semblance with his flash step.

Yup, not to mention that technically Alex can predict the motions of almost any enemy.

And yeah unlike Alex who can recover his biomass by hiding from battle, Ruby's aura doesn't heal as fast. It refills, but not enough to catch up.

My bet is on Alex. Yeah, his Regenerationn has a limit, but he was able to regenerate from being reduced to a puddle of liquid by consuming a crow, and while he did have to consume a crow to regenerate I don't really see Ruby reducing him to a puddle anytime soon. As has been mentioned, there's also the extreme difference in skill and experience due to Alex's ability to consume people's memories.

As for electricity, did Alex get hit by electricity during Prototype 2? If it only happened in Prototype 1 than he probably would have at least built up a minor resistance to it, this is the guy who adapted to a toxin designed specifically to kill him after all (at least if I'm remembering correctly, it has been a while since I played Prototype).
