Setup
Wesker peered out into the rain, crimson-orange eyes gleaming behind opaque glasses. Behind him stood a single guard, nervously watching the door to the room. Running a hand frustratedly through his hair, he contemplated the arrogance of the note he received the previous day. Evidently someone had gotten wind of his reputation and saw fit to tempt fate.
Greetings, Mr Wesker! Sorry for the short notice, but I just got kinda interested in the stuff you been doing. Heard you surpassed the limits of humanity or something like that, which got me kinda curious. Hope you don't let me down, I'll be by at about 8:30 tuesday night. Sincerely, Vino.
Growing more irritable just remembering those words, Wesker glanced at the clock on the wall. Whoever this Vino person was, they were fifteen minutes late for their own deadline.
As if cued by that thought, Wesker heard a wet snap behind him. Turning in surprise, he glimpsed the guard slumping to the ground, head turned completely backward, no aggressor in sight.
"... Whoever you are, I hope you understand that you've sealed your doom by entering this place", Wesker hissed, loosening the collar of his jacket.
A red shadow dropped silently from the ceiling, landing in front of Wesker in a bestial crouch before slowly rising upright. To his surprise, the intruder appeared to be a normal human with bright red hair and an eager expression.
"See that might'a been the case if I were just some ordinary shmuck comin' after you, but here's the thing..." The newcomer grinned at Wesker. "It's a bit hard for me to 'seal my doom', when I'm never gonna die."
Now then, to business
Sorry for going overboard with the setup, I couldn't resist.
9-A versions
Speed equalized, both unarmed.
No prior knowledge, aside from recognizing that the opponent is more than an ordinary human.
