Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam! When you open this thread, you will see tons of new hax for these Pokemon!!

I'm horrible at editing, & not really sure how to, & it's good to have a 2nd opinion, so let's get to this. Basically, the Pokedex entries for Abra , Kadabra , & Alakazam give them a myriad of hax. Mega Alakazam, too.

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Alakazam

If we assume that (Mega) Alakazam has all the hax of its pre-evolutions, since it's their evolved form, more powerful, & presumably has more developed abilities, then there's a lot of things to give Alakazam. Giving stuff to the pre-evolutions may be worth our time, too, if scaling gives them stats.

I'll also bring up some weaknesses these entries mention.

Technically, there are also entries about a boy who turned into a Kadabra, but the stories aren't consistent other than it being a boy with psychic powers so it's either multiple individuals or didn't happen.

Plus, I'm not sure where "young psychic humans sometimes turn into this species" would even go, nor if it'd matter; There isn't much to the "boy" before they turn into a Kadabra -I doubt it's enough to use in a debate- & afterwards, they aren't much different from any other Kadabra.

For the sake of readability, since I'm a horrible editor, I'm gonna try to keep things condensed. The details can be found in the Pokedex entries, which I've linked above.

So let's get started.

ABRA:

Location sensing, mind reading, & ability to teleport while asleep, including to specific locations such as distant spots & "treetops", all while asleep, & presumably pick berries while asleep as well. All seemingly enabled through self-hypnosis.

KADABRA:

Machine manipulation, headache inducement, more means of statistics amplification: Creation of "alpha waves", which increases when it uses its psychic powers, closes its eyes, or uses or stares at its spoon to focus its mind. Special AWs are emitted if Kadabra develops a headache. "Alpha waves" cause headaches to those too close by, & can ruin precision devices, & cause machines to malfunction. They may also cause clocks to run backwards.

Without its silver spoon, Kadabra is said to be limited to half of its telekinetic powers.

Strong spiritual power. The more danger it faces, the stronger its psychic power.

Luck Manipulation. Kadabra nearby bring eerie/creepy shadows on TV screens, which bring bad luck.

ALAKAZAM:

I'm not sure where this info would go, but: Alakazam is highly intelligent. It has a "thorough memory of everything that has occurred in the world", can "'recall everything it has experienced from birth" & can "instantly identify a foe's weakness".

More statistics amplification & possibly enhanced senses: Closing both its eyes heightens all its other senses. This lets it use all its abilities to their extremes.

Can use "all forms of psychic abilities". NLF aside, Alakazam learns Future Sight. This seems like a reasonable basis to add Precognition.

Alakazam's overflowing psychic powers cause headaches to anyone nearby.

The spoons clutched in its hands are said to have been created by its psychic powers. Given that Kadabra needs a spoon for half of its powers, similar logic may be applicable to Alakazam & Mega Alakazam.

Alakazam's head is too heavy for its neck to support. Its brain cells multiply until it dies & its brain continually grows. The older the Alakazam, the larger its head. Its muscles are also very weak & it dislikes physical attacks. It uses its psychic powers to hold up its head, & move its body.

MEGA ALAKAZAM:

Mega Evolution caused all its power to be converted entirely into psychic energy. It has lost all strength in its muscles.

Its hidden psychic power has been unleashed. A glance at someone gives it knowledge of the course of that person's life, from birth to death. (Possibly Information Analysis ?)

With all this in mind, it may also be worth noting that Alakazam & Mega Alakazam's apparent weakness of muscles may mean that without the psychic power protection, it may have worse durability &/or stamina than Kadabra.

But yeah, there you go. There's a lot of hax that Alakazam's profile seems like it should have added, so I'd appreciate input from you all. I'm not too good at editing profiles, sadly. Hopefully it's all applicable!! Thanks for your time!

I will inform The real cal howard about this thread.

Neat, but I feel like it should be mentioned that some of these abilities are not exactly combat applicable (mainly the luck manipulation)

Yeah. It may be worth noting that the luck manipulation is dependent on a TV screen being present. Possibly one that can be seen. Might be worth mentioning, but like, as a foot note, I think. Situational, but possibly useful?

Lol, thanks. (Although, technically, the luck manipulation thing is from one of Kadabra's Pokedex entries. But if we all have no problems sharing Abra & Kadabra's abilities with Alakazam, & Alakazam's with Mega Alakazam....)

I agree with this as well. It would be consistent with Alakazam being one of the more/most powerful psychic types.

I suppose that these changes can be applied then.

I have created a blog to show some of the changes that would be applied as per this revision. Hopefully this isn't redundant or needless. If anyone knows better means, or feels I should have simply made the edits, please feel free to correct me. Anyway: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...n_for_Evaluation,_further_Revision_&_Approval

Further, I would like to bring up some things that came to my attention that I feel I forgot to mention, or did not realize.

Abra:

Silver If it decides to teleport randomly, it creates the illusion that it has created copies of itself.
It seems like a reasonable basis for Illusion Creation .

Kadabra's Pokedex entries also mention its spoon as being silver. Alakazam's spoons are "said to have been created by its psychic powers.". Assuming "silver" refers to the material & not the colour, would this be a basis for adding limited Metal Manipulation to Kadabra & (Mega) Alakazam? Since Alakazam has created objects (presumably) made of silver or some kind of metal, I mean, & Mega Alakazam created more spoons.

Lastly, I wanted to ask about the Durability stat on Alakazam's page. Currently it reads:

Durability: Large Building level+ normally (Should be at least comparable to Magikarp). At least Town level, likely City level with psychic powers that are always active. | Large Building level+ normally. At least City level with psychic powers that are always active.

I assume LBL+ is either for Abra or this is accounting for Alakazam having very weak muscles & Mega Alakazam having lost all strength in its muscles. Maybe? But the keys currently only mention Alakazam & Mega Alakazam.

In any case, I assume a similar format should be acceptable for remaking said Durability Key to incorporate Abra & Kadabra's stats? They should roughly be the same, except MAYBE Kadabra. Abra should at least be superior to Magikarp, & Kadabra is both at least superior to Abra & has no known weakness of muscle to say it's LBL+ without its psychic powers.

Please pardon me dredging this thread back up. Input on these topics & the blog would be approved. Thank you, sorry for any trouble.
