Wasn't that just teleportation? And I don't think going off the battlefield with your opponent count as BFR

Why not? Teleport both him and you, take one step away, teleport back home. Badda bing badda boom, BFR.

it's either PIS for the sake of the plot or Goku had no time to teleport back. The actual function of the ability is combat applicable to BFR especially since Goku can teleport through certain dimensions like Otherworld
