Very fascinating indeed.It's very clear that liara might win and she could use her biotics to lift him in the air rendering him immobiile and strike tthe final attack and win.
Even if he's in the avatar state i don't know how he is going to counter her biotic powers. unless he finds a way to get close to her and energy bend to take away her enery.
She could send disturbing images into his mind and use that as an advantage for her to win. Even if he gets close to her she could just touch his head and start melding into his subconscious. Either way Liara wins.
